The pictures from the product page show a DVI port on the SC Black and SC2 models. Is the board still stock? *EDIT stock...reference design from NVIDIA

Due to the added DVI port none of the card models at the moment will be 100% reference with the exception of the Founders Edition. However the SC Black is completely reference design with the exception of the added DVI.

So in theory, the evga cards with DVI-D should support up to 144 hz via DVI-D? Correct me if im wrong.

So the SC2 is not reference than?

I'd call the sc2 semi-reference as the vrm is the same as reference.

from what i can see the sc2 also has icx sensors which may be part of what makes it semi reference. as from the info we get the sc only has the icx cooler but no sensors added on

Interesting. How much more was the 1080 SC over the 1080 Reference when it was launched?

the 1080 the reference had a price premium over after market cards. I am not a 100% sure but i am pretty sure the sc was slightly under what a reference model was 50$ or so. But this time it may be different since reference has no price premium, we may even see slightly higher depending what evga decides

another question is....If the SC2 board is different because of the temp sensors, will the EK Titan* X Pascal waterblock fit and properly cool a 1080ti SC2? *edit

No.
I've not seen all angles of the SC2 PCB and how it compares to the Pascal PCB but from what I can see it looks like the FAN headers are in the way, possibly something that could be modded on the water block I think. Are there differences with the hight of the core/memory/power chips? It looks very close. I'm pretty keen to try it, I've no problems drilling some holes in the water block to get the headers through if that's all it is.

Did you end up trying this? I'd love to hear how it went if you did. I know this is some thread necromancy, but I'm considering the EK A360G for a new Ryzen build, and found myself facing the exact question you were. I'm not sure if the included "universal" EK Pascal X waterblock will fit on an EVGA 1080 Ti SC2 PCB or not. It _sounds_ like just removing a fan header will do it, but I haven't seen confirmation from anyone who has done it.

@Brothergrimm It was a while ago I did it, but yes it worked well and still is. The last picture shows that I had to modify the plastic top to the waterblock to expose a fan plug. The plug would have stopped the block from sitting on the card flush. It was quite easy and I used a small skill saw to do it.

Fantastic. You might be the only first-hand account in the world of combining that water block with that PCB. Much appreciated that you came back to document it.

Thanks, the mod could be made a bit tidier but I think I was a little excited at the time of doing it. :D Hope it helps. My 1080ti is now paired with an 8700k at 5Ghz on all cores. Looks quite tidy.

There's no need to butcher the fan header like I saw in an old post on Reddit. Instead use the EK-FC GeForce GTX FE range of blocks which allow you to leave your card unmodified. I did that last year (using a pair of EK-FC GeForce GTX FE - Nickel blocks) and informed EKWB that it was compatible and now the blocks are marked "customer verified" on their comparability list. PS. I have mentioned that this block family is compatible in a post before.
