I think many people were experiencing problems with the 2080Ti because they were running it on aircooling, probably with bad airflow in the case, which allowed the card to ramp up on temperatures.
Even if the card is designed to work at high temperatures, it's known that high temperatures and longevity of electronical components dont go well together.
So i suggest if you buy one consider watercooling it properly with a 360 rad if you can. Even if you've never watercooled anything before a lot of experienced watercoolers like Jack can explain what you need to do step by step. Once you know what to do it's kinda simple actually.
Otherwise you can buy an hybrid kit but that wont be as good as a proper custom watercooling ;)
I'm with this guy. Cooking something at 80C with 300+ watts, it's not going to last very well.

I get Cuda memory errors every time I use something that requires Cuda. So I'm RMA'ing the card. Hybrid kits are pretty good if they work right. It's pretty messed up when they consider a card running stock at 80c perfectly OK

My card never got over 40 degrees and is cooled by four 360 radiators. So no it wasn’t a temperature issue for me not for the many other people I talked with dead cards. Both my dead cards were never stressed and never over heated yet both died for no reason.

"No reason"....you know how many components are on the board? You know how many can fail (Protip: any of them)....? Do you know how many that fail can mimic memory issues? More than a few.

No reason that I caused it that I can find. It’s not cause of overheating, least mine didn’t die from that

For two GPUs to die at the same time or different times, could be a sign of something else or a bad power surge/storm or bad silicon but most are saying that's not the case otherwise we'd see wide spread issues across all the forums when 100s of thousands of these GPUs were sold. Probably close to a million.
I would see to test out your other components. PSU, MB, etc.

So my third 2080 TI arrived after the second just up an died. The third one has some issues as well. I am very disappointed in EVGA's quality control here. This has been by far the worst experience I've had with EVGA in many years. Still waiting to hear back from them from Tuesday of this week.

I ordered the ftw 3 ultra, lets hope I do not have any issues with it. never bought a card of this price and never even imagined doing so!

Its a 2080 ti FTW3 Ultra Hybrid. None of the issues were with the pump, all were with the card itself.
