Hi I'm looking to build a new gaming system and wondering if it makes sense to stay all evga as much as possible or should i mix it up and get different components from different brands?
wondering what the pro's and cons are of going with one brand or selecting the best from each brand?

Thanks,
Charles

There's nothing wrong with mixing brands unless you're trying to keep an extremely consistent aesthetic. In my experience over the years, no one brand does everything or even most things the best. It varies based on both component and even the generation of product being released. And even the best of a brand may not be as good as products from other brands. Research what you want, and compare price to performance to find what's right for you, along with avoiding anything with lots of bad reviews or bad company support. Sometimes it does simply come down to brand and aesthetic preferences.

No real benefit to sticking with one brand except uniform looks. Applies to software too. I would recommend Msi Afterburner instead of Evga precision X1 even if you use evga gpu

In the current state of the marketplace right now, I think it would be best just to look at brands that are best available in your region with affordable prices; PSU, GPU, memory,... It all varies widely right now so just get what's best Price/performance wise and fit your needs

Definitely mix and match. It's the best way to save a few buck. For example, Samsung SSDs are arguably the best, but Crucial and Sabrent are pretty good and might save you a few bucks. Power supplies don't matter that much either, as long as you stick with a reputable brand like EVGA, Corsair, Seasonic, etc.

It doesn't really matter from what brands you take your components.. just look for the best price to performance components but watch out for the cpu and motherboard to match up .. like if you get a amd cpu search for a motherboard that is for amd same for intel but watch out for the generations.. each generation has different motherboards

You can use my Associate code: BDSLXPAD3HLKXV3 for 3% off for your GPU or up to 10% off of any purchase!

I think its funny that you asked this question on the EVGA forums, but brands usually matter on certain stuff like RGB peripherals or components

you can mix and match all you want except for the following:
RAM modules
Hard Drives when ran in a RAID
PSU connectors (please use the ones that came with the PSU)

Mix it. You can’t get very far using only Evga.
Case…psu…Mobo and gpu.

Still need cpu, ram, hard drive/ssd, etc

In my current situation I couldn't find the EVGA GPU I wanted, so I had to go with team RED and get an RX 6900 XT. It was all I could find. For most of my peripherals I choose Corsair (keyboard, mouse, etc).

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

Yeah you should mix and match also look up reviews on the product. I like watching Gamer Nexus, nice you got a 6900xt I want an 6800xt or a 3080. Best of luck mate
