Hello all, Looking for a good case for the 3090 Kingpin.
With the power connection on the end of the card finding many cases are just too small.
By about 1 inch or so.
The 360 rad needs to go on top in most cases, because the card length with those power connections.
So what have folks found work well, without lots of trouble.
Many thanks all.
ATM my rad is mounted in front, out side the case. Works really well the Temps are low but looks like a junkyard build.

Larac, I'm surprised no one has replied yet. I'm using the O11 XL in my current build. I don't have the KP in there yet as I'm waiting on Optimus to release their block, but this build was planned around having that in my open loop. It has space for a 360mm rad up top so it would fit and be easy to work with. The standard O11 Dynamic would also fit the Kingpin, but it would be a bit tighter as you can have twin 360mm Rads. The corsair 7000D or just about any large case with the ability to have atleast 2 360mm aio rads (top and side or top and front) would provide you maximum flexibility. There are tons of options, but for me it was easy to work in the O11 series of cases. I've done a mini for a friend, the XL for me, and I am just wrapping up the standard O11 Dynamic for my son. The mini was an air/AIO cooled system, the Dynamic and XL are open loops. The Dynamic build is based on twin medium rads, one on the top and one on the side which would provide you options. For an open loop, it's a bit tight especially with side mounted power cables. Another draw back to the standard dynamic is width of the case. Some larger GPUs power cables in the typical location rub the side glass or prevent the side glass panel from going in. My son's EVGA 3080 needed a vertical mount to allow the side glass to be placed in the case. Other than the vertical mount requirement for larger gpus, it's pretty decent. With the side exit power cables on the Kingpin, it should work but in an open loop depending on how your route your tubes and where you put your pumps it could get very tight with that configuration. But on an AIO KP gpu, it should fit fine. I really like the XL though so many people have it. I highly recommend this case for a upper tier performance build. Lots of space to work with, you can remove the hard drive cages for optional mounting locations for your PSU, tons of fan options, and rad support is great in case you decide to go open loop in the future. This case is large and will allow lots of flexibility for a custom loop or other add-ons should you decide to change things up later.

Many thanks!!
I was looking at the 011. The XL may be what I get. The back spot I guess it would be called, in the XL might work, if not the top should surely do the trick.
I figured most full towers would have worked, but when I dug into it, it seems many have issues. Not enough room, or something that blocks the top. Or just not sure if it will work with the case.
I measured it all, but missed the power connector placement and was too short. A half inch would have allowed it. Too excited about getting the card. ;)
So others may have found a case that shines with that monster card and radiator.
And one day a year or so from now an alderlake build. I hope. By then the 3900x will be ready to hand down to wife.

I've got the 011D-XL and I like it however, I've recently fixed an issue that had been plaguing my setup (which seemed to be common along the 5950X & Kingpin owners). -.-' the cost was a few more hundred dollars (to purchase a bigger PSU) which was bigger alright.... There is a panel on the backside of the case that is used to hide the cable management, i had to remove this as it would not fit with the new PSU i had purchased.

I've a thermaltake view 51 ARGB and it's a very hefty case. I like the way the psu is hidden behind leaving acres of room inside.

I have the O11 XL with 2 360 rads … the Kingpin and a 360 AIO cpu cooler. Amazing case! My setup is as follows with temps nice and low. - Kingpin 360 rad/3 fans is on the side (exhaust) - cpu 360 rad/3 fans is on the top (exhaust) - 3 120mm fans on the bottom (intake) - 1 120mm fan at the back with a magnetic filter on the outside of the case (intake)

My Daughters Kingpin is in a Corsair 7000x with an AIO CPU Cooler My Sons Kingpin is in a EVGA DG87 with an AIO CPU Cooler My Kingpin is in a Thermaltake Core X1 with dual custom loops. All were big enough to make the builds easy... actually the corsair with the front mount was really a long run for the hybrid hoses. it was close but it worked.

I removed the hard drive cages and moved my EVGA 1200 watt Platinum PSU into the mid position. I don't run any conventional hard drives so I didn't need them. I have a SSD drive mounted to the cable management tray which is the one you removed instead of putting it into the cage. The cages take up space and since i wasn't running any mechanical drives I used the space in the lowest position to help manage my cables better. The area above my PSU is clear to improve air flow from the PSU and backside of the mobo. I run the 5950 and 1300 watts is more than enough right now with my 3090 and custom loop with 3 rads, pump/res, and 10 fans along with everything else I have. I have enough power headroom to push my Kingpin also once Optimus releases their block. I have my KP sitting waiting on that for the last 4 months.

I have mine in a Corsair 1000D. I have also tested the Kingpin in a Corsair 5000D and ThermalTake X71. Best thermals were in the 5000D, but cable management was tricky once I put the side fans in.

Larac, The Meshyfy case is good but a bit small. If you are using two 360mm rads it is going to be a bit tight if you even can put those two rads in there. I like this case for air cooled gpu builds, but not so much on open loops as I would like a bit more space to work with and have additional rad capacity. Not sure how the twin AIOs would fit in this case if they are both 360mm. It looks like it might be a bit tight up top. The 7000D is a very strong case for open loops. If you are keeping your AIOs for the CPU and GPU then this case offers a lot of flexibility. It has options to mount side rads, triple 140mm rads options, and tons of space to work in. I really like this case due to the options it affords the owner. It can start off as a AIO based build but has more than enough design features built in so that if an open loop is a possibility in the future you wont need to upgrade your case to maximize the loop. Very good case design, manufacture, and price for what you get. The Thermaltake case is very interesting and I would say it would need to fit your visual taste. It is more than flexible to allow builds to be either AIO or custom loops. It has most rad capacity of the cases you listed. It's more for an open loop though so if you are planning in the near future to do the custom loop then this could be something you consider. It really has tons of rad space and a decent amount of space to work in and around. With a case like this you better make sure your pockets are deep. The case is very reasonable cost wise but with all the space and options to put things in it will cost you more if you fill out the case with components. I would do a custom twin loop system in this and still have space left over. The Lian Li O11 XL is what I selected for my own build. While some people have done a twin loop system with fancy fluids and stuff, I went with the three 360mm rads for my build. It has more than enough cooling capacity for what I do and I like the fact that it is just so clean looking once completed. It is very popular for a reason, so if you want to be different you might want to look elsewhere but I was able to change up some parts so that my computer isn't like the many others that use the distro plate instead of custom tubes. The only thing I wish they did a little different was to add more space below and a little more above the mobo to allow the use of a little thicker rads on the bottom and to help with clearance concerns up top. Especially the bottom mounting area could have used another 10-20mm more of clearance.

Don't have a Kingpin as of yet, but Phanteks Eclipse P600s. As far as dual system cases go, it isn't very big. - Dimensions: 240mm x 520mm x 510mm (WxHxD) / 9.5in x 20.5in x 20.1in
- Front Rad: Up to 360mm / Up to 420mm
