Omgosh this game is SO fun. I played the beta for a few hours and already seems super polished.
The MP is great, but I truly believe that the SP campaign will be fantastic!
I can't wait to play D-day with incredible graphics

I think there's a lot of games in front of Call of Duty for game of the year.
I haven't played Zelda, but I'm guessing most publications will give that Game of the Year. 68 of the 107 reviews on Metacritic are perfect scores.
Destiny 2 would have to be leaps and bounds better than Destiny 1 to even compete in a Game of the Year discussion. If most of the missions are stand around and defend the ghost while it hacks a computer terminal like the first game, forget it.
And let's be realistic about Call of Duty... It's Call of Duty. That franchise hasn't had a Game of the Year worthy release in 10 years.

PUBG: Pre-release of the year. CoD WWII will be game of the year? Coming from you who said that the epic flop Modern Warfare Remastered was incredible, I question the source.

Right now it's just PlayStation 4 until the 28th. Then Xbox One and PlayStation 4 from September 1-4. No dates on a PC beta yet.

In my opinion, any game in early access shouldn't be in the running for GoTY. Activisoin went all out paying off youtubers to promote CoD:WW2.

Don't know about "game of the year", but want to say that this CoD is looking pretty interesting after every year editions...Hope it will not be uninstalled from steam library a week after release.

Ok, well it certaintly will be my game of the year - lol
CoD 2 (360 and pc) was probably my favorite game ever.
WWII was truly a battle of good vs. evil.
This game will be historically as accurate as possible. The team that created this game spent over two years working on it.
Also, I like how they release the beta.
It's nice that this game will launch with less bugs than if they hadn't.
Honestly, looking back - some of the bugs/glitches on CoD 2 was why I liked it so much! Getting on top of buildings, crawling on wires, hiding in building (where you are not supposed to be) and gunning down people in MP was so fun! =)

COD 2 reminds me of the good old days. By far my favorite, before the yearly releases turned into complete crap.
I like the idea of this new game but it would take a lot to get me back into COD.

Is it back to normal COD or does it have jet packs and crazy character skins?
Because MW2 was the best COD of all time. And Id like a return to that where you can actually use most guns/rockets and its not sub machine gun or lose.

GOTY or not I am happy they went back in time to when the series was at a high point. While some would say MW was best I think they needed to go back more and do WW2 again since graphics are so much better now and nobody would want high tech gadgets that are hurting the games.
As for GOTY. I would have to say Zelda Breath of the Wild will win with Horizon; Zero Dawn, Destiny 2 and maybe Nier: Automata being mentions. I will be let down if Nier: Automata doesn't at least win best soundtrack.

Well, my son and I both played it for a bit last night - despite it only being on the 1 map for a few hours, it was actually a pretty good time. ...and I haven't said that about a COD MP for at least the past 4 years or so.  the netcode felt good & accurate - movement speed was good - looked good, sounded good. Definitely has great potential IMHO  , we'll see how good the final is.
