So...... Since the last Nvidia Driver Update- I have been getting terrible FPS in warzone, we are talking 20-40 FPS difference than before. I’m getting comparable #’s to someone who has a 1080ti or 2080 super. I know cod is horribly optimized but, this is just ridiculous. I’m running a 3080 FTW3 Ultra with a 10700, 32gb ram on XMP........I should not be having any of these FPS issues, not to mention the random black flickers during gameplay.

Does anyone have any hot fixes or suggestions to get that FPS back please let me know.

I haven't updated drivers for almost a month so I may not have noticed. Got pretty much the same setup as you. What are your FPS at and what were they before?

No fps issues on my 3090, however, you may have the memory leak i have which may be causing that low fps.
My VRAM will creep up from 6.8gb to 22gb and then stay around there, which is insane to me, and it only happens on Cod MW, and no settings tweak has seemed to fix it.
I hope your issue isnt that, but do you happen to know your vram usage while youre playing?

That's actually normal and was added in a patch quite a while ago.

To the OP - have you tried using that older driver again? At least until the game devs fix whatever the issue is (which... TBH, doesn't look good with the poor optimization that they have).

i was around 185-165 constant FPS, after last driver update I'm getting anywhere from 108-150. I cant break the 150 threshold. Don't understand the thinking behind these driver updates......Now do we have to just wait until nvidia releases the next update only for it to mess something else up.

So anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this ?

Go back to the old driver. Driver updates are only required for new games and existing issues. If you update and get new issues, go back to the last working driver.

I was getting poor fps in multiplayer and I cleared out the nvidia cache (C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\NV_Cache) and it seems to have rectified my game for now.

Wow my cache is heavy @ 933mb. EDIT yeah looks like its ok to clean that out It will just make the game re download the shaders. So if you feel the shaders are an issue by all means go for it.

I went back to the December 15th driver update and it seemed to help a little.......I gained about 10 FPS than previously. Whatever Nvidia is doing it’s ridiculous, and these issues need to be resolved.

Anyone suggest any other driver updates to try that have the same issue ?

At a guess - it's the game's shader optimization process result. The one that happens when you install a new driver or a new patch comes out.

Texture resolution seems to default to high for me after any updates. I run normal textures as high takes a huge fps hit. I also make sure all caching option are turned on and maxed out.

I know this seems too simple, but have you made sure Displaymode is in "Fullscreen", and your Display Resolution and Render Resolution match?  I know I've had the game do weird things like double the render resolution over the display resolution when doing driver updates.
