Does the CLC series us the standard 6/32 Inch and and a quarter screws? Also anyone know of a good source for appropriate screws for the CLC series that allow for the extra thickness necessary for mounting them through the case mounting hole? Plan to run mine in push/pull, which requires the screws on the mounted side to be slightly longer.

    If so, I can tell you that I used the 1.25" on my EVGA 980ti Hybrid cooler with no problem. Theones I used are in the top middle of the plastic box kit in the picture: http://www.performance-pcs.com/lian-li-ultimate-computer-assembly-hardware-assortment-pack.html   I needed them for the same reason, to setup the push/pull config. Also, just to let you know your in good company, I bought the hat too!! Anda hoodie, lol.

    No, not looking for thumbs screws like that. The heads on them is too large. I'm referring to screws like this, I just pulled my CLC 280 out of where I'm storing it for my build and removed this screw from it. This is what I wanted to avoid. This screw is inch and a quarter, so it's a standard size screw not a metric screw. I'd need something like inch and a half to accommodate for the thickness of the case. As the included screws just barely make it into the rad after passing through the fans. When I look at 6/32 screws online, the threads all look too large. I don't know if that's because the image is blown up or because I'm looking at the wrong type of screws.

     

     
    This screw for example, the threads look too big. Not planing on getting those specific ones, way over priced, I'm just trying to lock down the correct type of screw.

    Found these on Walmart.com, Less than $5 for a pack of $20. Head is a slightly different shape, but shouldn't affect anything.

    Just go to a hardware store ---> see what size hex nut fits or use a threading die to check
     
    Screws are based on two basics: Diameter & number of threads (pitch)

    The screw size used to hold the fans to the radiator are a M3 x 32mm screw. 32mm is roughly an inch and a quarter long. If the screw is M3 threaded then you could use a longer screw if you would like.

    Actually the CLC 280 uses standard sized screws, not metric. They are exactly an inch and a quarter long. That said, the inch and a half screws I ordered just arrived and they should work perfectly. Knowing that inch and a quarter is sufficient to hold the fans to the rad on their own, the extra half inch will accommodate the thickness of the case mounting.
