I just received a 1300 G+ Supernova power supply.
Before installing into a desktop with very high end video card, I did a quick check with my power supply tester.
It failed and said PG HH.

Voltages look ok.
I've never got a PG error on any other power supply, including my old EVGA 850.  So I'm not sure what to do now.
Return it and lose days in shipping?
Maybe this is normal for a 1300?

Any thoughts?

I don't know what tester you are using, however what exactly are you getting a "HH" on. i.e. 3.3v, 5v, 12v, etc?

The tester is a Coolmax PS-228.
Again, the voltages are normal.  The HH is on the PG test.
This indicates the power supply did not return "Power is Good" in the industry standard timeframe.

First time I have ever had a PS that did this.

The industry standard for PG is @500ms.  I had to look up your tester and its design is about 15 years old.  The only reason I bring this up is that maybe your tester has aged.

I have some thoughts about the possible problem, but your PSU is too important for guessing what may be happening and I can not do that.

Therefore, my only recommendation would be to email EVGA Tech Service here:  https://www.evga.com/support/custsupp.asp and ask them about the situation.  They will help.  That way you can get an answer that you can trust.

Note:  EVGA is closed until Monday.

Old?  Yes, but I tested 3 other power supplies today, including one EVGA 850, and they all said normal.  PG on the 850 was 290 ms.
Only the new 1300 is out of spec, so I doubt there is anything wrong with the tester.

I guess we will wait until monday.

You don't have to wait until Monday to submit the service ticket.  Also EVGA Tech personnel will check the forums occasionally, including weekends, and may provide an answer here for you.

Well, I did try and contact support, and tried to create a ticket.
First, the manual says support is available 24x7.  I called, and they are closed.  I guess it's 24x7, but they don't say WHICH 24 hours?

Next I go to create a service ticket.  It says you have to register the product first.  I click the link to register and I get:
URL /support/register.asp cannot be served due to error 17 on the host .  Error Code: LB404V

Whoopie, here we go.  I can see this is going to be a fun ride.

There have been random problems with the EVGA site.  You can try the old clearing everything on your browser by hitting "Ctrl+Shift+Delete."  Log in and go to the registration page and if you can't get in try F5 a few times, pausing between tries.  If that doesn't work, back out to the main page and retry.  If you get any 404 errors, the F5 key works, most of the time.  EVGA has been trying to resolve the problems and we have been learning workarounds.

Sometimes the only thing you can do is wait for a few minutes or so and try again.  If none of this works.  Then call EVGA CS tomorrow.

There is an EVGA Tech floating around on the forum today, I was hoping they would see your thread.

After spending all weekend trying to get anywhere on the EVGA website, that is a dead end.
Now it is Monday and I tried calling.  Nope.  That's just as bad.

After going through the phone-tree, it says enter your serial number.  I did this 3 times and each time it said the serial number is not found.
There is no way to get through.  No way to register a product, just get errors.  No way to get support or speak to anyone.

I have no choice but to return it.
Thanks everyone for your advice anyway.
