Always best to use three independent cables off of the PSU into the video card if possible rather than having a cable that splits into two ends and use two of those plus one other. I have used an 850W PSU by EVGA and had no problems with a 3080 FTW 3 Ultra.

Hello everyone I would like to thank everyone for their responses and support, it shows how amazing the EVGA forums are and the people that are in it as well.

Yesterday I dissembled the whole PC, to make sure that none of the cables were being used. I took the PSU box and checked the cables as well.

There was one particular cable that I never used but I was really curios. I am talking about this one right here:https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/403478953797?hash=item5df1383f45:g:tjAAAOSwiGhiDVcx&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoLyckPAvGjADGRhp6ig998J99s24tNvif%2BgZYdNg%2BhkABc12pS4%2BrA2Dcf41eQ0d0NMLUDtv4lhQ41vVp2WydQ4CsKFtuSph%2B6UwmICxTKv503xWn5bKczwqYlpQb5tdWLklRaPDhdy456DffoeTdk4kqjVWIf7H9QpTU7yhD5OiO4AdwnU6OOEBMtbBin5tOsANow%2FAHbVzj0XRTHTGyRs%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR-7H-b_lYA ( sorry because I put ebay but this is the one I was not sure of )

I decided to take the plunge and see what happens... Built my pc back up again connected the 6+2 x2 to the first 2 connections of the PCIE, the last daisy chained one I placed it in the last one ( a lot of people said to do it this way )
I plug the PSU into the wall, prayed to god almighty and sweet Jesus and Maria and.....

IT WORKED!!!

I decided to run some benchmarks and it did not blow up the house, I am still alive

Thanks again to everyone and their time to help me with this.

Glad you solved it mate, cheers. I actually use the forbidden pigtail on my 3080 TI htpc system as the SFX PSU doesn’t have a 3rd plug. Card is a beast, house not on fire yet but tomorrow is a new day lol.

It'll be fine. The 3090 Ti runs off of two 8-pin PCI-E cables when using an EVGA 1000 watt or higher PSU. A 3080 Ti or 3090 should handle a daisy-chain no problem, as long as the PSU and cables were designed for it.
The PSU paranoia is off the charts. In another thread about a failed fan, someone was asking about what PSU they were using. lol

I think so too.  Its kind of an old wives tale at this point.  During peak 3090 failure hysteria, it was the scape goat for sure.  However, I don't think I've seen one post with an actual measurement where the pigtail was the cause of the failure or low power draw and not the card itself.

I was not sure if I was missing any cables, I do have a spare PSU... A corsair cv650 80 plus bronze but it is a non modular, when I was checking the cables the daisy chain one looked very suspicious... I was like " did this cable come from the other PSU? "

took about 3 hours to dissemble and put it back together and used the daisy chained one as well and again no issues

This 3090 is having amazing temp:
Power:100
GPU temp: always kept it at 83 by default
All 3 fans at 55% and you know what the temps are?

60-62 degrees Celsius on super heavy loads like RDR2 and metro exodus.

RTX not my style for now... Oh and did I forget to mention my refresh rate is at 100 hz? and rdr2 and metro maxed goes to about 97 to 100.

That is insane!

Unless they bought a pre-built, I mean I am noob when it comes to PSU's but the fact that the guy/girl does not know their psu is bad
