I currently have linux mint installed (I was cheap back then ;) ).

I have the installed mounted to a USB stick.
I have changed my boot order for USB etc. but it keep loading my linux OS instead of going on the usb.
I also disabled fast and quiet boot.

Is there anything else I should change ? like a secure boot ?

Should I bet set as legacy or ufei ? my gpu doesn't support ufei, but I probably disconnect and run on the igpu for install first.

A little bit confused.
Am I missing something ?

From everything I've ever seen about dual booting with Windows & Linux, the Windows OS needs to be installed 1st.

If you were installing each OS on a seperate drive, then it may work, but you'd need to enter the BIOS everytime to change which SSD/HDD you want to boot from.

UEFI needs to be supported by all of your main components to function properly

    Yes, disable secure boot

Also, remove ALL other HD ------ MS will span ALL HD it finds during OS install, if you later remove one of those HD -- Win will fail to load

I don't want to keep linux. Only 1 OS is fine.

My question is mostly, where is or how is secure boot called on evga bios ?
    Couldn't find it.
I am sure it's what blocking me.

    Or model?

Is the s/n on the backside?
If required I will have to dismantle pc.

OK if you want only one operating system and that it is Windows 10 then in your BIOs set the boot option to the USB stick. You should have this option. Turn off/disable every other boot option

    I have try
    usb stick
    Usb hard disk
    Etc.

    Override boot to usb

Also changed legacy and uefi boot mode.

Quiet and fast boot turned off

Still goes to the boot on Linux.
I know the stick work as I tried on another computer.

That's why I taught there was secure boot.

Only I have not tried yet is to disconnect my gtx 600 and clear cmos and install.

If your USB stick is working, but while booting it passes it by and boots your Linux OS, I would think that your USB was not made bootable when you put your ISO file onto it.

It is a bootable USB. The iso was mounted to it and I can use it to install on someone else computer.

Odd..What I would try, if you haven't already, is:

    1. Update mobo BIOS first if needed (really wouldn't think you'd need to though, but who knows)
    2. Clear CMOS if you already have the latest BIOS
    3. Download and run the Media Creation Tool on a USB flash drive, select the "Create installation media for another PC" option, then choose the "USB flash drive" option as the media to use.

Set BIOS to boot from the flash drive in "First Boot Device" (flash drive needs to be plugged in to be seen as a boot option, but you knew that).

    1. Running latest bios (2.02)
    2. did so
    3. I mounted using the Linux tool. The USB is working on another computer so should work. I just haven't used the one from windows, cause I don't have access to another windows system (except my work laptop that I am not authorized to install software). But it should make no difference, otherwise it would not boot to usb stick on my laptop.

I did try a 3.0 and 2.0 usb port (my key is usb 2). didn't try all of the usb port, but shouldn't make a difference otherwise the dashboard wouldn't let me overide the boot with it. no ?

Are these pics showing how things normally look, or when you're trying to boot from your USB?  If the latter, then you'd need to change the boot order putting the USB in the top #1 spot.

This is normally, before changing the boot order.
I theses pictures, I had the usb stick removed. Otherwise, boot #5 would have shown USB KEY : Kingston or something like that.

I will try to take another pictures.

EVGA technical support, told me I have to do the F7 key when booting to go to install.
I will try that probably tonight.
