In an effort quickly fix old bugs that had resurfaced in a recent update, Bethesda has released a hotfix for Fallout 76. Sure enough, older issues have once again been put to rest but in the process this has unearthed a new bug that’s plaguing players’ crafting materials.

The release of Patch 5 earlier this week had unfortunately reversed changes made in its predecessor, seeing Bobby Pins return to their original weight of 0.1lbs instead of its adjusted 0.001lbs value and item duplication come back in full force. Bethesda explained that the problem originated from a “merge of internal development builds failed to execute properly prior to releasing Patch 5.”

Sadly, this doesn’t seem to be the case as a new bug has seemingly caused issues with autoscrapping materials that have been converted to bulk. Players have flocked to Reddit to describe that they’ve lost a considerable amount of material since the hotfix landed.

I don't think it'll be revisiting this game anytime soon.

FO76 was December's hot mess. Atlas was January's. What will end up being February's hot mess? Maybe Heat?

The nerfs, 100's of hours burned away. I am stepping away... I have not seen this kind of train wreck since SWG and the NGE...

Usually by now a online game is running smooth after being out for about 1 month to 2 months. However Bethesda is proving that to be heavily untrue at this point. The truly sad thing is because of this dumpster fire game so many people are losing faith in Bethesda's upcoming projects.

this. Every MMO i've played at or near launch has always had it's fair share of bugs and lack of content, but 76......wow....I am so glad I avoided this title all together. As a major Elder Scrolls fan, this even makes me a little worried for the next single player TES game. Not sure what Bethesda's upper management has been thinking as of late, but they have really been dropping the ball at every opportunity. Makes me glad Zenimax has a pretty firm grip on ESO, as it's only gotten better overtime.

I'm sure they are happy that so many people helped bankroll the R&D for them to learn about MP online MMO game making.....
