Wow, all 10 cores and 10 threads where used playing it.  I looked and it was eating 90% of my CPU during game play.  7900X with all cores at 4.5GHz

    That's making me a bit nervous knowing I only run on a OC'd 4.4 Ghz 5390K (6-core) and was looking to grab a 2080 Ti for a Dell 27" 1440p 120/144hz screen.

Everything I've seen so far shows it doing well @ 60hz but I'm not trying to go backwards here.  I think the lowest I would go is maybe 75-90 FPS.

    Cores or Threads?
    HT (SMT) On or Off?

HT was likely off, I'd imagine.

I am about to find out on my X99 FTW-K Rig.
First 6 Cores HT Off then with 12 Threads HT On.

HT is on, so it is eating 90% of what it thinks is 20 threads.  CPU package at 82C on Corsair H110i.

My 6 Cores are better then with 12 Threads sometimes but not all the time.

Well, you did say 10 cores and 10 threads, not 20 threads.

I have an 8086K and 1080Ti. Even at 1080P 240hz monitor, I am seeing more of a GPU bottleneck. I even turn off some settings and it still runs between 90 and 90% GPU usage.

If you're GPU is showing signs of bottlenecking, you'll want to turn up all the settings to give it something to do. LOL

If the GPU is already using 90%, turning up the settings is just going to make it work harder (GPU bottleneck even more).

I'm happy with performance and optimization in this game. Actually, the game is pretty darn good. The only issue is that EA never seems to do much about cheating in their games. EDIT: Make sure you select "on" to the render ahead option. If you don't, your performance will be garbage.

No idea how I missed that resolution but surprised even at 240hz it would still bottle that much.

Game runs incredibly well on my older (OC'd) I7 920 quad core (HT on)...  no need to have anything more on BF5 cpu wise, it's all about the GPU and screen res

I am finding that the RTX GPU uses way more CPU resources then the GTX GPU dose.

I've noticed in AB that at the beginning and ending of a round the gpu spikes bad high:/
