can you flash the bios with the new chip installed or do you need to flash with one of the older gen chips in

If needed, we can certainly assist you with a replacement BIOS chip containing the latest version.

Hello EVGATech_JoseR. On Friday I will be receiving my EVGA X299 FTW K which I will pair with my 9800X. Is it possible that the mobo I ordered contains new BIOS that supports that CPU? If not, I would be interested in having a replacement BIOS chip as well since I don't own a previous gen CPU. How should I proceed in order to receive the new BIOS? Thanks in advance!

I'm not aware that a new BIOS is needed for basic compatibility with the SKX refresh CPUs.  We do recommend that you update to the latest BIOS before or after installing for best overclocking performance.  However, you should still be able to boot with whichever BIOS you have.

Virtually every credible reviewer has mentioned fast 9900K with unexpectedly high die temperatures. So I don't know what you are trying to say.

I meant more business for Der8auer's, meant more sales, more deliding tools, meant more business more Silicon Lottery or Business offer that kind of services!!! CPU that TB to 5.0Ghz expected to be little hot!!!

Setup is great, but when soundcard is in last pci e slot their is no device found but when its in 3rd pci e slot, works fine.
Does the 6 pin power cable need to be connected to see devices on the bottone pci E slot?

What mother board, CPU and sound card are you using?
You might want to start a new thread for this

Dark 299 i7 7820. SB recon3d Xfi. Works fine on 3rd slot. Could be nothing is detected on the bottom slot, might be the 6 pin cable isn't connected.

6 pin doesn't have to be connected unless you are running a heavy SLI configuration, etc...

What I am curious about though is PE6 enabled in your BIOS? See page 27 in the manual and keep in mind if you enable PE6 you will lose your M.2 80mm slot (if you are using it).

All Pegs are enabled, but evga guy on tech support said something about disabling m.2 on bottom slot if I want to use an Xfi or cofon3d audio card.
ANd its a 7820 cpu.

FWIW, on my X79 Dark and X99 Dark motherboards I did have to connect supplemental PCIE power on the motherboard with a single video card. If you run more than 1 PCIE device I'd just plug it in to avoid issues with it.
