Overall, super happy with 2.01. Haven't figured out where to set my ratios for atom cores but will eventually...

Settling down on these timings w/ Corsair Vengeance 5600 CL36. eVGA ELEET X1 doesn't work, or at least version I have doesn't (1.0.13.0)

1.15 bios bug - after changing PLL voltage from a loaded profile it gets stuck on 06 post code. work around - cmos and change PLL along with the other changes.

Any reason you’re still on 1.15? Still on adl?

After updating BIOS to 2.01 I can no longer get to the BIOS at all. This is with a 4090 FE and 12900K. I had to go into windows with Default settings and flash back to 1.15 in Windows. Back on 1.15 I can get to BIOS again on bootup.

I'm having the same issue. 4090 FE and 13700k for me. I flashed the BIOS to 2.01 and couldn't get into either BIOS or Windows. I flashed the BIOS again, but with the beta 2.0 version. Now, I can boot into Windows, but my display shows "no signal" up until I get to the Windows login screen. I still can never see the BIOS.

Nice that I just got the z690 DARK from Amazon, so return window now till January 31 2023

Wondering now if its a 4000 series issue not seeing the BIOS.

After doing some testing, I'm pretty sure it's an issue with the 4090. I don't know if it has to do with the Z690 Classified specifically or the 13th gen CPU or a combination of all 3.

I swapped it out with a 3080 and was able to see BIOS/Windows with no issues. Also, I removed the 4090 and left the PCI-E slots empty and plugged my display into the motherboard and I could see BIOS/Windows with no issues.

On 2.01 BIOS, I can't see BIOS or Windows with the 4090 installed.

In 2.0 BIOS I can't see the BIOS screen or anything before the Windows login screen. Once it gets to the login screen, my display is fine and works without issue while plugged into the 4090.

I haven't tried it. I'm pretty done with troubleshooting at this moment. I've spent all day trying to mess around with it. I'll wait for an update from EVGA or if anyone else finds a fix.

Well I'm going to be in the same situation when my 13900k shows up Tuesday. Which 4090 do you have? I wonder if a different 4090 bios might fix it too. I remember people having this issue with some 30 series cards too and a VGA bios update was the fix IIRC.

It’s the 4090 FE card causing the no post screen/display until windows. I had the same issue with a 4090 FE on my Z690 Hero with 13900K.

On my Z690 Dark and 4090 Strix the issue is not there and I get a post screen.

It is possible it’s HDMI 2.1 issue since I was using HDMI 2.1 OLED LG vs using a DP 1.4a monitor with the Strix. But I’m leaning towards it’s the FE vBIOS.

My 4090 is a FE so this makes sense

Same here with my 4090 FE, no BIOS screen even though error code on mobo shows Ab on BIOS 2.01. On 1.15 no issues with BIOS screens.

Yep

Yeah I rolled back to 1.15, odd thing to leave out for EVGA. Especially since they listed ALDLK improvements and compatibility for 2.01. THANK GOD for bios switches for testing.

If you ever plan to sell the board you will need to update to whatever BIOS the latest is whenever that may be, as if someone drops RPL in they’d need to be on the right switch haha. I guess three BIOSs is chilled, but they will basically have no functionality of one of the chips (flashback is an absolute mission on EVGA).

That's unfortunate if it's the FE bios. Once again like 30 series, the FE can't be flashed with a different bios.

Have brand new Z690 Classified and 13900K, bios recovery flash doesn't work, following the manual but after 10 seconds gives error code E1 :(

bios flash back is buggy on the dark, turn on the system again and shut it down and try again. also try shutting the psu and turning it on again.

I tried so many times, customer support also gave up and asked me to RMA. Paid premium money to get 13900K day after release and can't use, if the feature doesn't work they shouldn't advertise it. I put in an advanced RMA but will take time, meantime ordered a 12400K but will arrive only on Monday, ruined my plans for the weekend :/

Give the Beta BIOS a shot:

Made no difference, at this point it's a board/bios recovery issue, how a 600+ bucks board has worse bios flash capabilities than a 200 one is beyond me, was of the idea EVGA boards were another level, the only other level here is the frustration. Really regretting my purchase now.

My 12900K with this new BIOS has improved CB23 performance by 250 points on my Z690 Dark Kingping . No issues, also with my Rtx 4090 Suprim X. I just had to enter from 0 the OC profile. The one created and saved with the 1.15 was not accepted.
Please update drivers, they are a little outdated

Just hearsay from Twitter, but I saw some claims that suggested they heard from Kingpin that there will be an update very early this week (I think Monday was said, but not having heard it myself, I'm hesitant to say anything concrete). Update is supposed to address many of the issues.

I flashed 2.01 and tested with my 12900k to get a feel for how the bios behaves with the same settings.  Both of my mem tunes (6400 and 7000) proved stable.  Although I did get a crash in yCruncher using my daily 52/41/43 settings.  I even went back and tested 1.15 again and it passed.  Bumping up 10mv in 2.01 does seem to fix the issue though.  So not a big loss, but possibly a loss nontheless.  I do have that OC set to the bare minimum Vcore though, so it wouldn't take much to make it unstable.

Is EVGA basically the only motherboard maker without a stable bios for Raptor Lake at the moment?

Hi everyone, I have recently purchased a new EVGA z690 Dark Kingpin and as my previous computer is an AMD, I do not own any 12th gen Intel CPU's to boot up this board.  My question is, if I were to purchase a new 13th gen cpu and use it in this board, will it boot and be able to update the bios version to the latest?   Or does this require a 12th gen cpu in order to update the bios?

Thank you very much!

I would discourage you from doing this, the 13th gen CPU won't boot without a bios update and I am having nightmares trying to use the bios recovery function. Either get a cheap 12th gen CPU to boot and update and then return it, or go for another motherboard.

I have checked if my Rtx 4090 Suprim X have rebar active and....yes it is! I don't understand why you are experiencing all those issues with this bios version with Alder Lake and Rtx 4090

Cannot use my USB Type C on the IO. Is this is a bios issue? Anyone else having this issue. Seems like its not getting power. Nothing happens after plug in. Thanks
