BIOS files have undergone final testing and this is now an official release. Still undergoing some final testing, but these are expected to be the release version files. BIOS 1.08 (A599 DARK) / BIOS 1.08 (A597 FTW)
- Update to AGESA 1.2.0.7
- Improves FCLK compatibility for 5000 series CPU
- Adds support for 5600 and 5700X processors
- Improves dual rank memory compatibility for 4000 ~ 4200 MHz memory
- Adds 4800MHz memory OC profile for 5000 Series APU (*A599 ONLY)
BIOS Installation- Download the correct .zip file below for your motherboard:
121-VR-A577-KR - EVGA X570 FTW 121-VR-A579-KR - EVGA X570 DARK- Extract the contents of the .zip file to a USB flash drive (must be formatted as FAT32).
- Next, reboot the machine and go into your motherboard BIOS and load defaults. Save, reboot, and re-enter the BIOS.
- Click on the "Extras" button on the upper-left of the BIOS, and select "BIOS Update" from the drop-down menu.
- Navigate to where you placed the BIOS file and select the correct .bin file.
- The BIOS will ask you to confirm that you've selected the correct file.
- Press "Yes" to start the flash process
- DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR RESET DURING THE FLASH PROCESS
- After the flashing is finished, the system will automatically shut down. Then power on again and go into BIOS to setup.
Please let me know if anyone runs into problems with this update. Thanks!

I've been pretty happy running my 4000 cl16 kit at 3800 cl14, though it boot xmp with zero issues and the profiles ive tried work great as well...manual tuning has been a bit more difficult at the 4000 mts lvl, excited to see how this might affect that.

This beta BIOS gave a significant boost capability to memory overclock on the x570 Dark. Both my 3950x and 5950x could not get beyond the "1900" barrier using my dual rank kit until this update. Thanks! Currently using 2x16GB from the GSKILL F4-3600C16Q-64GTZN (Sammy B-die) After a quick lazy OC (I've still got headroom) I'm at 1933 @ 16-16-16-36 1.55v. Stable & tested w/memtest and OCCT overnight. AIDA w/5950x on 1N w/1:1 (please reconsider image hosting on this forum...I'm not going to sign-up another hosting site just to post screenshots here) Before 1863*/3733 14-16-14-14-24 1.51v Read 58000 Write 57775 Copy 55313 Latency 55.9 After 1933/3866 @ 16-16-16-36 1.55v Read 59981 Write 59791 Copy 57098 Latency 54.4 *Of note: on previous BIOS, the FSB was AUTOing to 99.8 but after this BIOS update the FSB AUTO shacked at 100.0. I don't see any settings for it but any insight for future control of the spread spectrum/equivalent on this board?

Just tried updating to the 1.08 BIOS and now I can't get past the sign in. Says my pin is longer available, go to sign in options but I can't get past this no pin thing. Was going from 1.07 to 1.08. Tried booting into the second BIOS which is still 1.01 BIOS and can not get past the sign in. I have not tried the third BIOS which is still 1.01. I loaded the defaults in the 1.07 Bios before the flash like always. Flash seemed normal like any other time I have done it to one of these boards. Back to BIOS 1.07 and I still can't get past the log on thing. Says my pin is longer available. Looks like I am reloading win11 to fix this issue. First problem I have had flashing a BIOS.

I have had that same issue twice now. The BIOS default for the X570 Dark is to enable AMD fTPM, and since it's recommended to reset it to defaults at each update and we generally do so, each time it turns back on and deleting your Windows login credentials (atleast from my understanding and after having done it to myself twice, feel free to explain how that feature/function works exactly). And each new BIOS also have it enabled by default. It's certainly a headache, and i was only saved by my phone (which is over a decade old and barely works), but i was able to get to my windows recovery key and reset it both times (it was very troublesome and concerning either way).

Have had this happen on a few Bios updates, so these days I just leave ftpm on and have had no issues, am aware that ftpm has caused issues for some setups but I havent noticed any stuttering with my setup...I'm also still running windows 10 so ymmv

I did the 1.04 I think it was and the 1.07 flash with no issues. Just an issue with 1.08 so far for me. Back on 1.07 and running fine again after a reload of win11 pro. Will remember the ftpm settings if I try for 1.08 again.

This is now the official 1.08. No change in the files since this was originally posted. We only posted it early this time due to the updated AGESA version, which many people had been asking for.

This was the reason a lot of people were waiting for AGESA 1.2.0.7. It fixes performance issues related to fTPM.

I didn't have any performance issues on Windows 10, the issues i had was when i got the board, the BIOS got initially corrupted (no clue how still) and i wasn't able to switch fTPM off at all, and each boot i kept getting that error message related to it before booting to OS. Thankfully that got resolved by re-flashing to 1.04 eventually. At the same time Windows 10 forgot the pin code i had previously aswell, so had to deal with that, trying to recover access (which i described above with a 10 year old phone was not fun). And finally the same Win 10 login (forgetfulness) the last time i BIOS updated. So i just prefer to turn encryption/fTPM off. Other than that the only other settings are just OC Bot / XMP / Safe/Fast Boot Off / reBAR Enabled which are not a problem to remember or set again. Sidenote: just updated to latest AMD Chipset from last month, will update the BIOS itself to 1.08 when i get the 5800x3d (whenever soon that is), thank you again!

Although it's possible it may make a difference, the BIOS team didn't mention whether they tried both boards. They are looking for additional information, since they aren't seeing an issue on their end.

I am re-arranging my hardware, and I am trying to decide whether to use a 5800X3D with a EVGA x570 Dark or one of another brand's x570 motherboards. Is PBO and CO turned on when booting up with a 5800X3D installed? If not, is there a plan to release a BIOS version permitting the use of PBO and CO with a 5800X3D?

I'm considering purchasing the x570 dark and had a few questions: 1. Is this bios' VID limited to 1.42V if EDC is above 140? 2. What is the agesa version for bios 1.03 and 1.04? Thanks in advance for your help.

Is it possible the x570 firmware has issues with modern ps/2 gaming keyboards? I can't get my ps/2 gaming keyboard to respond across the port, but an old IBM model M works fine. I posted more details in the "Rear IO panel quality" thread.

I currently have the Evga x570 Dark, it works perfect with the Ryzen 9 5950x, but I can’t get it to post with Ryzen 7 5800X3D. I tried bios update 1.07 nothing and then tried 1.08 still nothing, took it out and put it in my other gigabyte X570 board and it fires right up into bios. I put it back in the Evga Dark it still just turns on with lights and fans running with 00. Any help?

Not sure man, i somewhat recently got my 5800X3D and before installing upgraded to 1.08 and it works fine. Have you tried switching to another BIOS (with the onboard manual switch) yet, and perhaps upgrading that one to 1.08? Also made sure the flashing was successful and done on the correct header? My very first flash on the X570 DARK got actually corrupted, despite me thinking everything was done correctly, i could tell because whenever i tried to changed nearly any BIOS settings i would get error codes, hard reboots and just generally not getting into windows. If anything, try to re-flash to 1.08, just make sure the flash drive is FAT32 formatted and only has the BIOS file (like EVGA recommends) and you do it from the BIOS Flash header next to the POST led indicators on the board (to elaborate on this, the method matters and simply doing a re-flash have solved BIOS related issues in the past if somehow an update went wrong, it's not a guarantee but is worth doing). If after trying multiple BIOS positions (this ensures it's not a faulty BIOS chip out of 3) and making sure it's not the BIOS itself (with the reflash) the only thing that it can be is the board itself, considering you already said the CPU is confirmed to be working, so after that the only thing left to do is talk to their Customer Support, they will have a better idea or will set you up towards and RMA if it turns out to be the case!
