i made a folder named "DDR5-6800 CL32 2x16GB Trident Z5 RGB Memory Kits" and saved ^^ URL u provided in it.
 
i left 'kits' in the name of my folder, as a way to remind myself later on to create Folders named after the actual Model Numbers when they come out. Based on the ^^ (9-22-'22) g.skill announcement; they should be out this month.
 
they do have 6600MHz g.skill at NE for just $309. but i bet it doesn't stack-up to the new stuff.

and like i guestimated earlier, it should be less than $1,000 to upgrade my RAM and CPU. and running currently @1440p; i can easily get the same FPS as a 4k LCD with a 4090; with my current 3090 and 1440p LCD.
 
unfortunately i have my eye on an Alienware AW3423DW. TomsHardware and LinusTech. and it would require an RTX4090. i'd better dream-on when it comes to getting both a 4090 and an QD-OLED. 
 
 
 
 

My Z690 Dark is constantly getting off on time. I doubt a brand new board has a bad CMOS battery, is there something else that can cause this issue or is it a bad board?

What's with the new RAM speed support of up to 7200 on 4 DIMM boards? Is that due to BIOS magic or Raptor Lake IMC improvements? My Z690 Classified 1.15 BIOS has a literal hard lock at the 6200MT (3100Mhz) mark. As in, base clock goes up 1 tick (6199.5MT to 6200MT) and it's instability bonanza. Tempted to try this 2.0 beta BIOS regardless to find out.

 
Z690 classified working stable with 6400 and max boot is 6667(Hynix-M/Samsung-B). This board behaves the same as Z690 Carbon/Force, but can do better with Samsung
Loosing only to Z690-F Strix which is capable 6800 stable

cpu vdd2/vddq i set about 1.4-1.5 both (depends on how much frequency I play).
And my technique is to use PLL voltage to help .
For CPU SA voltege. You have to find out how much your CPU likes this voltage. Because each CPU will like this voltage differently. (This voltage depends on the silicon lottery CPU.)
My CPU likes SA voltage of 1.25-1.28. (My friend's CPU like 1.4-1.45 )

Do you have a fan on your dimms? Curious if at these voltages it's needed

I change and use waterblock and fan to help when use stability test programs

idle cpu temp in my country in the afternoon about 32-35 degrees celsius

I saw that somebody discovered that it is really a problem with some 12th gen processors and not the motherboard.

No word from intel or anyone yet. Evga is silent even though they would already have the answer.

Intel claims 10000MT RAM is possible, but im guessing thats in a Z790 Dark or something else with lots of layers/better electrical design.

Yeah, I didn't mean to indicate confusion there, but from what information exists, it seems that the order of best to worst RAM speed would be:
13900k on z790 Dark
13900k on z690 Dark
13900k on z790 Classy
13900k on z690 classy
12900k on z690 Dark (possible this is also above the 13900k classy, but unsure)
12900k on z690 Classy
(note: these assume only 2 DIMMs are populated in the Classy boards)
 
This is because I think it is safe to assume that you may get some boost in memory performance going from 12900k to 13900k, even on z690. I think the headroom is higher on z790 possible, but I don't think the motherboards will have too much improvement on what are already good designs. In the EVGA boards, you definitely get more benefit from the 2-DIMM Dark layout than you get going from z690 to z790 on memory. So from early tests and marketing materials from Intel, it is suggested that 13900k has an improved IMC, so that means even if you put it on a z690, you may get some additional performance headroom. I wouldn't expect to push a 13900k on a z690 Classy as far as you could on a z690 Dark or z790, but I would think it's possible to improve the 6400MT advertised. 
 
All that aside, What I was actually asking about was the fact that some others seemed to indicate that they were getting improved memory performance on this beta BIOS than on previous released BIOS versions. So even though it hasn't been reported to be 100% stable with 12900k, I was curious if anybody (as some did with the Dark) just fired it up anyway and pushed their memory a bit with the z690 Classy. It seems that either nobody did, or nobody who did has read my question and/or wants to talk about it. I did tie them together because I am wondering what happens if I throw a 13900k into my z690 classy...will I get the improvements of this BIOS, plus 13900k IMC and not have the stability issues of running this BIOS with 12900k? That is the curiosity.

EVGA Team should bring bios for z690 classy that improve DDR5 stabillity, because recent Gigabyte's F20b bios made possible 4dimm 8L pcb Z690 Master to maintain 6800 stable, which bring it to uniqe z690-F strix level that can do 6800 almost from the launch ( i have one)
While 10layer Z690 Classified not stable above 6400 with m-die, which is pathetic comparing to physically weaker boards
I dont want to change my EVGA board, but if support will be so slow and lame, i will have to

When can we expect a full Raptor Lake support BIOS? Release is in 2 days and as far as I can tell only EVGA doesn't have an official BIOS available for launch so far. 

2.00 has raptor lake support. I'd guess they will make the beta an official release this week, or else we'll see 2.0x in its place in the next day or 2

You would like to hope that EVGA could provide a full official BIOS with 13th gen support seeing as it launches tomorrow... Asus just dropped another official 13th gen BIOS for my Hero board and we can't get an official non-beta bios before launch? They're not busy working on GPUs lol, so lets hope they can divert some company resources to their other products soon.
