Hi, in August of 2021 I purchased an EVGA G6 SuperNova G6 1000W as an upgrade to an older Corsair RMx 750W PSU I had when I purchased my RTX 3080.
It worked fine until early April of this month when I changed my setup around and moved my PC closer to myself. I noticed a lot of coil whine and contacted support and they basically directed me to RMA. So, I RMA'd it and have received a replacement. I received the placement about a week ago.
I was finally able to test the replacement today as I was busy with exams and this time its still making high pitch whirring noises that's even more annoying. I'll post links to two videos of the noise, the fan noise you can hear in the background is coming from the CPU cooler of my test bench, not the PSU. The PSU fan doesn't make any annoying noises, its just this loud whirring noise that you can hear in the video.
In the first video (Part 1) I have the PSU from off to boot and in the second video (Part 2) it was taken a few minutes after letting the system run (idling) and it gives this weird chugging like sound that's present in the video. Are these sounds normal?
Are the PSUs sent out for RMAs tested for acoustics? What are my options here?
