Oh cool. Asetek is in the house... Yeah I've been telling to who would listen (also on the hardforum) that the Antec is the better unit. It performs almost on par with the H70 when put together with two fans. Only things I don't like: 1) the rotating installation mechanism preventing the use of some exotic TIM. Although it has its advantages by offering more flexibility for the tubings. 2) Also the fan header is only a two pin and does not have fan speed monitoring. Would be best if it was a PWM fan. I am actually tempted to cut this cable since I am not using it. For reference, I owned the H50 and coolit vantage. They are both 16fpi rads. The H70 like the Antec are 20fpi. The latter two benefit more from higher pressure fans and push pull configs.

I'm sorry you had a problem. I can tell you that after shipping more than a half million units, this kind of event is in the category of ultra rare. =/ It's one of the reasons such a fantastic warranty is offered. Let me know if there is anything you need. =) Hog54 They all work great until they leak.I just sent my H50 in for RMA today after a year and a half.Scares the hell out of you too when you see that white puddle on top of your graphics card.

That shouldn't be the case and I would like to take that to the people that need to see it. About the fan: Our thermal engineers design a unit around the complete package. This means we go through a pretty good fan selection process to ensure the proper amount of air is moving through the radiator. There are of course better fans, but we start you out of the box with a good one. In answer to your question, you can use any fan you would like and I can't speak to that specific fan simply because I don't know its specs. From what it sounded like, you aren't doing any overclocking so I wouldn't be overly concerned. There is also the option of slapping that fan on in addition to the one we provided.

What you can do is put the ring onto the pump in the orientation you would like. Then, while holding the ring on with your fingers while holding the pump in one hand, you can place the pump down on the cpu and use your free hand to screws in the screws. I will be making a video to demonstrate this and other installations soon. We have been making a bunch of content over at Asetek.com/blog to assist our community =) 2) The fan connector on the 620 has fan control. We use voltage regulation to speed up or slow down the fan. PWM is on its way. Since it takes more to do, it will be on a higher end product that will remain a mystery for a few more days ;) Can you cut the cable? Yes, but be sure to shrinktube or tape off the wires. Keep in mind, THIS WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY sorry for the caps, but I need to make that clear haha You are correct on your final points =) Cheers, Stu

Just a couple of bent fins. You could try to bend them back. I don't think they hurt you much. I have quite a few on the radiator of my car...

From what I can tell, that is nothing to worry about at all. If you got some tweezers you can carefully bend them back, but it won't hurt you at all the way they are.

As long as I don't get any leaks, I will continue to give the Kuhler 100% thumbs up in every way.

Since I see some members have the Kuhler 620 I'd like to as them a question. Are you able to run any fan with the Kuhler and not have the RPM limited by the fan controller on the Kuhler? In other words, can you just connect your fans (assuming you use 2 120mm fans) to the motherboard standoffs or does one have to go through the fan controller on the Kuhler itself?

I have both fans connected to a separate fan controller and I was actually considering snipping that fan connector... The fan connector is only a 2 pin so there would be no way for the pump unit to know if a fan is connected.

If I understand you correctly you're saying we don't need that fan controller attached to the Kuhler pump? I was curious if it would cause problems not having a fan connected to it instead of just the MB; even better if we can just get rid of that thing. I hate fan controllers, personal bias, but I pick fans that run at certain speeds for a reason. Thanks for the reply.

I have the pump connected to the CPU motherboard header and I left the other cable disconnected and just tucked it behind the motherboard. For my fans, I have them in a push/pull and connected to a fan controller. IMO this is a perfect config.

Yes, as I said, The fan connector on the pump is only a 2 pin (ground and 12V) It does not sense whether you have a fan there so there would be no reason why not having a fan there could cause any problem since the controller in the fan unit has no way to know.
