Looks good, but I like square hard boxes that I can pile up with all the others when I build my system. I will probably never look at the box again once the chip is installed.

    That is kinda neat, but like you said it's not going to be the easiest to store once you've gotten out the important part.

    I am ok with a premium feel one time when I get it, and start to unbox it. It makes the building experience so much more orgasmic. I seriously can not wait to get one! 

    As long as your popular enough, you can get away with anything.

    I think for the money it's good that companies provide aesthetically pleasing packaging. Matter of fact, I kept 3 packages from my Deepcool TF120 fans because they look good and are practical. They are now used to store various types of screws and hang off the side of the garage wall,well out of the way of everything else.
     
    I could find a use for this package, too. But I don't need Threadripper.

    Getting stupid excited for this thing! First piece of hardware for several years that really genuinely looks like an honest to God innovation and step forward.

    Seems motherboard manufacturers detailed some of the high-end boards today. Not a single word about nvme raid. I'm getting concerned.
