In an exclusive interview with VentureBeat, Atari CEO Fred Chesnais confirmed that the prestigious company are working on a new game console. This confirmation comes after a teaser for the Ataribox dropped last week. Many suspected this teaser might be fake after it originally landed on a website unaffiliated with Atari, but has since made its way to the company’s official YouTube channel and has been confirmed by Chesnais to be true. While the console design is subject to change, we can expect to see the woodgrain panelling as seen in the teaser.

They also played Atari Games.

Got my first one as a gift when I was in college 1978 it was all the rage everyone was playing it. Me and my bros hand a lot of fun with that. No internet connection required I hope they keep it that way but me thinks not... Somethings should just go quietly away in the night.

Eh, I still got a junior and some games. I had the four switcher with that nice fake woodgrain back in the mid '80s. But I found it hard to get into the games and they could only entertain me for 15-30 minutes before I would got bored. They were just to simple and relied to much on imagination for my taste unless they were arcade titles. But it's fun to pull out ones and a while and hook it up to the TOSHIBA 27AF42 CRT TV I also still have.
