Hey All,

The EVGA 980ti hybrid cooler on my daughter's computer is dying or has already died. Pump is crazy loud and the temps are 70C on idle. Guess my only option is to replace with another reference cooler. Does anyone know where I could purchase something? I'm not having any luck on ebay. Can I use different manufacturers as long as it's a cooler fit for reference? will a 980 or 970 reference cooler work? Can anyone point me to one they know about?

I'd be willing to just buy something from EVGA if they'll sell it. Buy I don't believe that to be an option either. Would really appreciate anyones help, as I don't have $1000s to spend on inflated GPU prices right now. I also don't want to over pay for 1650s.

Thanks in advance if you're able to help out.

Cheapest option would be to use a Nzxt Kraken G10, this bracket will allow you to use an Nzxt or Evga All in one cpu cooler to replace your failing hybrid cooler. the bracket is like $30 and then its cost of what AIO cooler you use. You have to use a cooler that is supported by the the bracket
    Hope this helps you

Hey there, if the pump is crazy loud, that means it is still running. Have you tried to see if you have air entrapped in the pump? Have you tried tipping the PC (Unless you have losoe parts, the PC doesn't care if it is upside down) or taking the screws out of the rad and shaking to to see if you get any change in the noise?

    Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, I've had it upside down and sideways, shaken it, tipped it, removed shroud and wiggled the thing while it's in the PCI slot. I have no idea whats wrong with it.

I just went ahead and ordered one of those arctic accelero coolers. Really wanted to match the card with a reference or something similar. Shame you can't easily buy one.

The Arctic Cooling Accelero coolers are amazing.  Just make sure you clean the surface of the Memory and VRM's well enough so the adhesive really makes a strong contact and the heatsinks stay attached.  Much better to get one of them as long as you feel comfortable enough taking off the hybrid cooler and putting on an aftermarket one.  It will be much quieter and cooler than ever before.
