Looks like it's just the 980's then. Time to RMA them till you get a working quad setup.

All four Cards?
 
I wonder if I should stop my order of the X79 Dark?

You could wait and see if the motherboard fixes the issue first before RMA'ing all the cards.

Yea, it is a lot of work but I will wait till after I get the X79 Dark Motherboard and test all the GTX 980 Cards.
I will start of with 2-Way then 3-Way and last 4-Way SLI.

Installing the 980 cards now into my X99 Classified Motherboard today.
I really like this X99 Motherboard and Bios 1.14. I had Zero Issues installing Windows 7 or any hardware problems with the CPU or the Memory.
I do wish though that they would not of used a Sound Blaster Audio Chipset. This is my only compliant about this MB.

NO GO SLI Still Failed.
Please use Post 4 GTX 980 HC Graphics Cards on the X99 Classified MB and Intel i7-5960X SLI Still Fails. From this point on.
