Hello, I've seen some people talking about the LN2 bios - is this the 500w one which can be found in the thread posted by Jacob or is there another one with an even higher power limit? Thanks.

I think you've seen "LN2 BIOS" in association with the KP card only; which has a tripple BIOS; one of them is an LN2 BIOS.

Are you saying you can load that 1000w LN2 Kingpin BIOS on any 3090 FTW3?

Sajin Yep.
I mean, I am enjoying my current 3080 and was debating going 3090 when my notify comes up. But the performance limits over the 3080 just weren't that much especially with a 500w limit. But with this new information, it changes my calculus... I built my current setup as a triple 360 rad watercooled home just waiting for a decent water block to be available. I may have to jump on my 3090 when I get that notify now if I can use a 1000w BIOS and actually get some use out of all this watercooled overhead I have built into my rig. ETA: I know I'd never use 1000w on water, but if I can push out to 550, or 600w even and realize gains on my setup that is really interesting.

Just be aware that if you flash that 1000W VBIOS, your warranty is void. If you have to RMA and your card isn't dead, and you didn't say that you flashed it, you could theoretically flash the stock VBIOS back and no one will be the wiser. If EVGA finds that VBIOS on your card, or if you posted about it and they take note of it... Well, I hope you have the cash to buy a new one instead of getting an RMA.

EVGA_Legal
- Unauthorized changes to the BIOS or Firmware on Products that do not have a Multiple BIOS option may cause this warranty to be null and void.
I know this is semantics (and not the intent), but the way that reads, is you can perform unauthorized changes to the BIOS on a card that has multiple BIOS options. Silly play on words, but lawyers do lawyer things and that wording is suspect at best. ETA: Which is why I just need to keep my eyes peeled for the Hydro-Copper KINGPIN so I can do all this legit under warranty :)

The unlocked VBIOS has always voided warranties for EVGA, even for Kingpin cards. The 1000W VBIOS is an unlocked VBIOS. You have been warned.
