Haven't received an email for it yet. So sorry you're having problems with the card(s). I really hope for all our sake that this is a firmware or software issue. Man, can't imagine how you must feel right now.. well, I can imagine, and it's not good.

If I was using and re-using old parts, I'd figure that was the case. My PSU is well rated for this card.. well rated for any card really. My entire PC is around a year old. Nothing from my 4770K is part of my 9900K build either.. It's not a case of potato parts.
We have very similar builds, and as it happens I very recently purchased a 850 T2 for this new build. Same 9900k CPU with CLC280 cooling, I have an ASUS Maximus XI Code mobo, but we even have similar monitors although mine is the PG278Q (older version of what you have), and I think you mentioned in a post recently that you have 32GB ram @ 3600MHz, same as me? I've read a few posts now with same issues, actually more than a few, and a few that mentioned it happened after the firmware update. Ugh, this is making me feel a little nauseous, or maybe that's from lack of sleep lol. So sorry you're having this happen.
Yeah I went IPS 4ms over the TN 1ms time. I feel like I am on eggshells hoping I don't break my gpu by just having my pc open. I haven't reinstalled precision x yet. I did do the firmware update via PRX though, the first day I got it. I'd tried benchmarking the card day 1, but it kept crashing and failing in futuremark. I'd said in another post, I was using my futuremark copy that was bundled with my 780, so it was port royal looking ooooold. Nothing on my build would be considered cheap, old, or ducttape level.. I'm using 3 separate cables for my 3090, as the 850T2 can handle at least 4 VGA spots on the PSU. Only had 2 plugged in for the 1080. Before I uninstalled precision X and then DDU'd my drivers, I noticed that the entire time my GPU was in use it seemed to be real UP/DOWN/UP/DOWN on the graphs. It looked like it was trying to enter a low power rest mode as if it wasn't needed. No idea if that was a precision x conflict with a frame rate target. The program also bugged out and had like 6 GPU graph sections worth of blank info after the second crash. I had to scroll way down that page to see the active graphs. I am hoping precision x is just poorly coded and someone is duct tape patching the code for now as it's also the firmware updater for EVGA. I've no idea. Until EVGA release a new firmware update, I'm leaving that thing uninstalled. The OSD on precision x had stopped working anyway last night or this morning. in hindsight I really hope my benchmarks in RDR2 today with Vulcan that kept freezing and crashing RDR2 was caused by precision x being dumb. Sorry just saw: G. Skill Trident B-Die CL16-16-16-36 DDR4 3600Mhz 4 x 8GB I really hope it's a software issue.. but I heard some weird clicking just now from my PC. I have less than 2 hours left in my "free" time in the evening.. and feeling like I can't play games on something I've dropped so much on is just.. not a good feeling. Maybe it'll be fine. Just tested out Div 2 fully maxed, and when I say fully it's actually fully, not this "oh I turned down half the stuff to medium but it's still maxed" stuff I've seen others claim. It looked amazing and played great locked to 4K60. I noticed one thing today, my 1080's fan almost never turned on. The fan on this 3090 has come on many times. Aggressive cooling profile, as the card can and will sit at 71-78°C. Another click.. what is that click. Is that my EVGA AIO CPU cooler? My EVGA Power Supply? My EVGA 3090? Ugh.. Gonna play CK3 until I have to pass out I guess.

Jesus, have you guys seen the 6900? I'm actually reconsidering purchasing a 3090..
Seems like on par performance but with probably weaker ray tracing. Benefit is cost and possibly reliability.
My brand new 3090 just black screened on both monitors.. I'm at stock clocks. My Supernova 850 T2 PSU is a year old...
Damn that sucks.
Did it again while I waited on that driver linked in another thread to download.. just sitting idle, nothing but a browser window going...
Do you have x1 open? Try bumping the voltage up.
I'm at stock clocks though.. I shouldn't need to voltage tweak a functional card at stock. Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm running a new enough EVGA Supernova 850 T2. If that can't run a 3090 at stock clocks, there's an issue with the card design that needs addressing from the firmware update.
I just did a full DDU wipe and reinstall. It was solid in Watch_Dogs 2 at literally maxed 4k60 settings, for around 50 minutes? Maybe longer. I was letting it idle to test the game when the San Francisco fog rolled in. It was great. mid 50 degree C temps. Then after that it was just at desktop with nothing running.. I had a few black screens when I used the OC profile on precision x... but I disabled that and went to pure stock BECAUSE I had gotten the black screens. Really disappointed right this moment. I am not eating a $300+ loss on restock fees to get another gpu.. but it seems I'm gonna have to use my AdvancedRMA 2 days later, wasting $45..
Precision X is uninstalled, drivers are uninstalled, wiped, rebooted, and reinstalled. The only change in my system it the 3090. 
Gonna leave precision X uninstalled and see if maybe that was causing a conflict.

My nephew got his 3090FTW replacement this morning, 2 hours later red light again, card is dead.

EVGA has very good support and they asked him to RMA like the first one so they are really good in that aspect, but makes me wonder what are they fixing and how long the fix will hold before happen again.
What makes me worried that you can have great card for a year or so and all of the sudden..gone like fart in a thin air.
Hmm, I've always had good experiences with their products. Never had to RMA, but it can happen of course. Back to back though, that will make you wonder whats the heck is going on.
I have several Titans, 2080Ti and even some older cards and all good, that's why this makes me worried and its not something that should ignore.
My 1080 popped on my 4770k within 2 months. That smell was horrible.

Genuinely no idea. Precision X is uninstalled atm. Heard two random clicks.. Hopefully the software was at fault. More hopefully it didn't affect my evga flow control for my AIO. I have temp set to my ARGB. Green with hints of yellow. Which is normal. It idles at 50-55C. I'm getting hit by a hurricane soon enough tonight.. i don't want to be dealing with my most expensive PC part purchase being bad..

Those clicks might be the GPU fan(s) starting up and turning off again - I get that sometimes with my 2080Ti when I'm just web browsing and not putting any demand on the GPU ...took me ages to figure out what it was, but once I put my card vertical it was obvious straight away once I could see it.

Newegg just 501 errored me while trying to pay for my 3080. Probably because of the 3070 launch. What a joke all these companies are. How do you launch a product with only 3 items to sell. "Production is ramping up." I call bull. It's been over a month and launch day notifications are not even halfway done. I don't know. Maybe I'm not understanding the business side of things. But it just seems that if you want to make money, you sell a product. You have more than 100 items to sell on launch day. Micro Center seems to be the only physical store selling these items and yet they get the New York stores get about 50 on launch day. And that was a mix of all the cards from different companies. Seriously, I don't understand and would like someone to explain this to me. Trying to not be a dick, I just really don't get it.

I went to Asus forum and actually asked them about any issues and they don't deal with the same card dying as we here at EVGA. I honestly would consider Strix but I also know EVGA support is unmatched so I'm on a fence  Upps, they are all gone now

So pretty much zero 3090 FTW3 Ultras again today, except for the couple this morning that were likely unclaimed cards from the small handful that went out yesterday (Tuesday), which also look like they in turn were the unclaimed ones from the slightly bigger batch that went out on Monday.
Maybe next week.

Yeah, it's not looking good for us this week Nereus and we are so close in the Queue. I was hoping we would get a big batch, but if its not tomorrow then next week perhaps. They never have big drops on Friday it seems.

Pretty sad really. This is the only card I am waiting on, and I just keep on waiting. If I am not able to get one in Nov I may be taking a hard look at the new AMD offering, especially if they have availability.

Dunno who to contact for this but I removed my notification for the EVGA 3090 Gaming, so just sticking with the EVGA 3090 Ultra notification now.
