Purchased an EVGA 3070 FTW Ultra (LHR) a couple months back and it was running great. However, within the past month I've been getting an issue where when I boot up and load a game, I'll get 30FPS or less (often a lot less). I'll then have to reboot my computer multiple times until it starts running correctly. So far I've tried: Turned off Fast Boot Toggled ResizableBAR Was on version 497.29 of NVIDIA drivers when this issue arose, Updated NVIDIA drivers to most recent version (511.79), then reverted to 497.29 after using DDU Uninstalled PrecisionX1 Two things to note: When the card is "misbehaving" the GPU clock and Memory Clock will not display in GPU-Z If I leave the PC on in the state, eventually the GPU fans will jump to 100% despite HWINFO reading a GPU temp of 50-65 and will persist at 100% until the PC is restarted. Any ideas? Opened up a support ticket as well

Sounds like rma will be needed. I’m guessing you used ddu when switching between drivers?

Yes, used DDU is safe mode prior to updating NVIDIA drivers.

A Seasonic Focus GX-750 purchased new for this rig. Also ran two separate PCI-E power cables to the card.

I use Windows 11 and I have this too with my Evga 3090 Ultra, the work around is to restart Windows 11 once you have loaded to desktop.

Can you tell us about the other hardware inside the computer? It would also be good to know what game or games you are playing. Finally it would be good to know if you are using Windows 10 or Windows 11.

Running Windows 10 and issue persists even after restarts. Other relevant hardware is Intel i5-12600k and MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4. The issues occur in-game and outside of games, but pretty much any game will get terrible frame rate 80% of the time, until one good restart and it starts working again until the computer is powered off. Did not have this issue until about the time that version 1.3.1 of PrecisionX1 released and Steam auto-updated. Have already attempted uninstalling and using a previous version of PX1 from EVGA's website to no avail.

I've been helping RMoorah with this issue and after a "good" restart where voltage, memory, and GPU frequencies show in PX1 and GPU-Z, all the games run fine. For example, Halo: Infinite will run well above 140fps and up to ~180fps. However after a "bad" boot/restart it will run at about 20fps. When things are working fine, they'll continue to work fine until the PC is turned off, so it could run fine for days if sleep/power off is disabled, however that is not ideal and not preferred. Nothing else has been changed between the cold boots and restarts and the PC ran fine for several months with no modifications other than updates by Windows, PX1, and NVIDIA. Since this issue arose, we've tried changing all the Windows power settings, NVIDIA control panel configurations, BIOS settings, etc. that would have impacted performance but it will still have this issue about 80% of the time. The method we've used to tell if it's a good restart or a bad restart is if the aforementioned card stats (volt, mem frq, gpu frq) appear on GPU-Z or PX1 then it's good to go... if not then will need to reboot again.

Does this issue follow the card to another system when testing it in another known good working rig?

Nearly the same problem as rmoorah. 1000d / 2x 480 and 2 x 360 Pacific radiators / 30 fans Tbe 300 d5 pump/res / Optimus signature v2 and Optimus ftw3 blocks Thermaltake tf1 1550w psu / Samsung g9 monitor Aorus Master 590 mb / i9 11900k cpu / Evga 3090 ftw3 Ultra / 32g Dominater 3600 nvme 4.0 and 2 ssds / Windows 11 Everything is up to date. I need to restart Windows once my first boot up reaches the desktop, this will always fix the low fps bug.
