It could be that Nvidia has not informed EVGA of what kind of boost clocks it will achieve. No matter what the boost clocks are, still going to be limited like all the 2080's by the 1.093V in the end. Welcome to the age of voltage locked cards,

I might be completely off base, but why would nVidia be validating/testing an EVGA card that’s on a custom PCB?

Well, we dont know if its BS until tomorrow passes with no-one getting a shipping notice.
I dont think I could cross fingers and toes harder for this thing to ship tomorrow. Losing faith :(

Just saw this on Anandtech... "GeForce RTX 2080 Ti units are finally starting to ship today for preorders. Those originally slated to ship in September are now shipping by October 5 th, while those with an original October ship date are now shipping by October 10 th." Sounding like regular stock wont be available tell mid or end of October.... Of course no Idea how this will play out with EVGA...

Well, as far as we know, only EVGA site was even offering FTW3 preorders. Amazon did not for certain, neither did other large EU shops.
As far as I know B&H Photo was also offering pre-orders of the card. Over on Reddit some folks are finally getting shipping notifications from nVidia, hopefully EVGA will follow suit with our FTW3 pre-orders. https://www.reddit.com/r/...y_shipped_from_nvidia/ Just spoke to chat again and they also confirmed the the plan is to ship by cob Friday, no guarantee though.. "Adam B: Unfortunately, I do not have an exact ETA but we estimate that the 2080Ti FTW3 pre-orders would be able to be shipped at the end of the week. Hopefully, it will be able to be shipped by the end of tomorrow but I just can't guarantee it. Did you have any other questions?"

I'm guessing it will perform similar to the other flagship models from various vendors (2050-2150mhz). Similar to pascal, everything is likely to hit the same wall, regardless of temps, voltage, etc. The FTW3 will probably just hit that easier and more reliably without breaking a sweat.

For the US the preorders first went up on 9/7 and then IIRC there was another round on 9/9. So we were looking about a 4 week wait.

IIRC, they sometimes create blocks for custom cards but not all the time. On reference designs you can guarantee they will. Regardless, I could see one from EVGA though.
