I also thought the same thing.

For some reason I have a feeling I am going to be able to buy a FTW3 from EVGA without a pre-order faster than B&H will be able to fulfill my pre-order. They have 10/23 as expected availability on their site.

EVGA_JacobF So here are some updates on FTW3: 2080 FTW3 spec is live at EVGA.com now. 2080 Ti FTW3 spec should be live tomorrow. Right now it looks like the earliest orders can start shipping will be Friday, but still trying to get sooner.
Can we still expect to see those specs sometime today?

After business hours in the US, I doubt it. Not like it matters much though. It'll likely be listed as 1750-1800ish and end up oc'ing to 2050-2150 or so like competitors higher end offerings that have already been reviewed.

I do find it odd they haven't been able to post specs yet if they are supposedly going to begin shipping Friday ;)

I agree completely. I really don't understand it. I can only think of two reasons to not post them. Either they do not know them, or they are significantly out of the norm. Neither seem likely.

I think often EVGA, despite being my favorite graphics card vendor, is sometimes caught a bit behind the curve on things is due to the fact that they are a company of ~250 employees, whereas MSI is 10x that, Asus is 68x that, etc (according to the internet). I'd assume that doesn't include contractors and possibly 3rd parties they enlist to perform certain parts of the business, but still. Interesting numbers to think about. I work for a company of 250,000+ employees and being on that end of the spectrum is just as much of a detrimental cluster for different reasons. lol

I honestly don't think the 2080 ti FTW3 will ship on Friday since the specs haven't been announced. Jacob said: EVGA_JacobF So here are some updates on FTW3: 2080 FTW3 spec is live at EVGA.com now. 2080 Ti FTW3 spec should be live tomorrow. Right now it looks like the earliest orders can start shipping will be Friday, but still trying to get sooner.
Now he didn't say anything about if it was going to be the 2080 or 2080 ti that will ship on Friday. He just said they would start shipping on Friday. The 2080 FTW3 has had it's specs since yesterday and the 2080 ti FTW3 doesn't have them yet. To me that means it's unlikely that the 2080 ti FTW3 will ship on Friday and Jacob was saying that the 2080 FTW3 is going to ship on Friday. I hope I'm wrong as I have a 2080 ti FTW3 preordered, but I'm not holding my breath.

I pre-ordered mine on Sept 12 via EU EVGA, every day I'm here checking my order status waiting for an update. When I ordered my 1080Ti FTW3 it came from the Netherlands to UK, so took a few days.

I don't think it's a problem, those cards must have been produced already. Even if they were to start production today, they'd still have made enough cards by Friday to start shipping, but I don't think the reason they have no specs on the site is because the hardware is not finalised, I think it's because of the BIOS. They probably have manufactured many cards already but they were still working on the BIOS which is obviously different from the reference PCB and the two-fan coolers. If they're planning to start shipping on Friday, then they're probably waiting for a green light from they QC department today; only after everything is tested they'll update the specs on their site. Loading a BIOS into the cards probably won't take a long time, packaging might be more time consuming! If my guess is right, that'd explain why there are no specs but the cards will be ready in two days.

It's also a shame that in Europe EVGA is incapable of using any kind of advanced shipping service, like DHL, UPS, FedEx, DPD, GLS and a gazillion of others.

I don't understand how there's still no info on the boost clocks. Jacob pretty much confirmed shipment this week or at the latest next week which I guess follows the 10/5 and/or 10/9 delay delivery for the 2080Ti. Might as well just say they're under NDA by Nvidia instead of keeping false hype that it's being delivered soon.

I'm this close to canceling my pre-order, I've already got a MSI Trio in hand, this is freaking ridiculous, that they make promises they can't even keep, they first said they would tell us yesterday, then tell us today for sure, the cards are already finished, why can't you reveal the specs? Feels like they would rather ship it before revealing so people can't cancel. Well this is bad business.

Jacob tweeted not that long ago about Assassin's Creed...I'm surprised we haven't gotten an update yet. To be honest I've seen reviews of a couple of the released 2080 TI Cards..but nothing about the FTW3 from anywhere online....not a review or somebody outside of EVGA that has one to test. Not a single person has one of these in hand & the specs haven't even been finalized on their own web site. I'm hopeful for news or a Friday ship date, but at this point I'm starting to loose faith. I've been refreshing the page to see if my status changed...it hasn't & that sucks, but least the estimated 3-4 weeks hasn't changed either.

Not sure why you all so concerned about boost clocks? does it really matter? we all know what they all can do and we know for a fact this one has better PCB and more Power Limit and better cooling so should be better then 99% of other brands, those boost clocks means nothing, but i'm sure will be higher then most of the other cards if that really matters for you!

So far at 373w or possibly 400w (if you have a private bios) it will have the most power, which is awesome, but seeing updated info as well as firm ship dates would definitely be a plus.

I think the concern here is that the GPU won't ship until the boost clocks are posted. Also, keep in mind that Jacob said that the FTW cards should ship on Friday, but he didn't specify which FTW cards should ship on Friday, the 2080 FTW3 or 2080ti FTW3. I'm thinking that the 2080 FTW3 cards will ship on Friday and the 2080ti FTW3 cards will ship sometime next week.

FWIW When I reached out to EVGA via chat they pointed me to the thread where he said Friday & also reiterated Friday to me. I preordered the 2080 TI FTW3 Ultra.

Is EVGA the only company that has custom PCB and power phases? This has always been a trend for them being late to arrive to the party. I’m considering other options because I don’t want to hold up my build simply because of brand if I can get similar build quality elsewhere.
