spit051261 2295 and 8684 1675 on memory and 210 on clock .
How did you get that kind of OC? Chiller + full block?
A bit more to OC than just tweaking voltages. The main thing is keeping your card cold

Well the CPU is running 24/7 @ 5.6 but not sure I could afford to run everything else at that speed 24/7. ( the cooler comes off and AIO goes on for gaming ). Saying that , this KPE running at stock will run faster than most other cards overclocked so no need to OC in that case lol. Didn't realise, apologies, feel free to delete my posts.

What a great welcome to the forum! Thanks for the detailed reply kevininc313, you've given me much to read up on. I also appreciate that I am on a forum thread with real pros in the overclocking world. I have been OCing for years, I even used to solder higher capacitance capacitors to my motherboard way back in the day just to eek out that bit of extra performance on my Frankenstein test bench rigs. These days I am going for simpler solutions (and the wife likes the office looking like an office rather than an electronics lab), though all of you are making me want to get back into water cooling! I do love that I cannot even hear my rig at 1 meter when I turn all the fans down when not gaming. My PSU has the fan off up until 20% load, then under 16dBa until 50% load. I prefer hearing the birds outside the office to the hum of the fans, I'm not sure I could accomplish this level of quiet with water cooling. Of course I could just build a 2nd passively-cooled rig for everything non-gaming .. that's a thought. Thanks also for pointing out that the graphics score is the one to watch on 3DMark. My monitor does have hardware G-sync (in contrast to G-sync compatible). I see there is a framerate target setting in the X1 software, I have now set it to 120. I understand in some games I'll need to set it to 100 or lower. It is really only in online FPS games that I need the higher refresh rates anyway.. you see, I'm not very good (I'm not so quick with the mouse/fingers), so the higher refresh rates seem to help me a bit & I do like the visual experience of the ultra graphics settings. For single player titles, I'm happy with sub-100 FPS. After watching this video and a few others, I decided my weekend CSGO matches with friends needed to be at a higher refresh rate! Edit: the link was removed by the spam filter (a good thing) .. the title of the video I am referencing is "Does High FPS make you a better gamer? Ft. Shroud - FINAL ANSWER" at the LinusTechTips youtube channel. I fully admit that LinusTechTips is not a gold standard of hardware testing. I usually reference other articles/sites, but I like the practical nature of what they cover sometimes. I am like Paul (from Paul's Hardware) in that video.. I assume I would have a considerable increase in performance from 60Hz to 144Hz+ .. I almost want to get a 240Hz monitor just for online FPS games, but I understand the benefit of going from 120Hz to 240Hz would be much smaller incrementally. You've given me lots to think about re: my CPU choice of the 6 core / 12 thread Ryzen 3600. I figured it would get me along fine for most games today until in a couple years I drop in a second-hand 3900X selling for 1/3 of today's price. I can afford essentially any CPU out there, but I have a frugal nature and always look for the sweet-spot in price:performance for anything I buy. I got the 3600 for $150 on sale and at the time the 3900X was around $480. I figured 6 cores at 4.1MHz wouldn't be appreciably worse than 12 cores at say 4.3 MHz with the 3900X - for gaming. If I needed a CPU for productivity, or used it for actual work I'd get the 3900X for sure. I'll have to read more on this though, it sounds like you think the 3900X would be a lot better. I do know the i7-9900k (or ks) is the king for gaming, but it seems that lineage of CPUs is nearing an end and I am loathe to invest in an Intel platform today. Intel will be more likely to kick it into high gear in the next few years after AMDs recent successes. I recently read about server chip sales and was surprised to see the AMD EPYC chips are making a serious dent in Intel Xeon sales (which has been an Intel stronghold for years.) Ok, this post got way longer than intended, but your reply created a spike in enthusiasm for my new rig! Thanks again.

According to your video, 5.6 GHz was just stable enough to perform a GPU benchmark without any meaningful CPU load. And 5.5 GHz was your limit when there was a moderate CPU load. Maybe you have improved it from there. Who knows. What does it matter? Semantics and such.... But, I sure hope that you aren't running it 24/7. That would be hugely wasteful, and probably it won't last long before degrading. CPU C-states are great. Your CPU won't run at such a high voltage and clock needlessly, you won't waste energy needlessly, your CPU will last substantially longer without degrading, and so forth. My 4.6 GHz CPU clock is running at 0.916 volts and 1.6 GHz at the moment. And, when it needs it, it will speed up to 4.6 GHz instantaneously. Ah, that is nice. And turning your computer off when you aren't using it? That's a no-brainer. I suspect that the intent of the thread is "daily" maximum clocks, not 24/7 constant clocks. Again, semantics.

Bro. No you are not. This may hurt your feelings. 5.6Ghz with an AVX -6 offset is not 5.6Ghz. Its weak sauce and ego padding. Show 30 min of Realbench 2.56 at 5.6Ghz. Heck, show one run of Linpack Extreme at 35000 with proper GFOPS for 5.6Ghz and correct residual. Just one. Second to that, 4400Mhz 32GB on a XI Code....I call shenanigans. I think your feelings will get hurt if you actually tested that for bandwidth and stability.

There's nothing there. Even if there was, I'm quite sure its nothing that would lead a reasonable person to believe that you run a 9900KS at 5.6Ghz 24/7. Please stop. If you claim 24/7 5.6Ghz and 4400Mhz 32Gb then show a 8 hour RB 2.56 run at 5.6Ghz with HWinfo in a screenshot. For 24/7, 8 hours should be easy. But, you can't. You either lack knowledge or are purposefully misleading people here. Either way, that's not to be tolerated.

Care to explain after meaning that statement ? Have a look at my rig . Does it look like I use it to play games or do spreadsheets ? The chip is set for 5.6 @1.435v sync all cores , AVX to 0 I have said before but I'll say it again , I use my PC to run GPU benchmarks. I have other computers for doing mundane things like you probably do. It's too much hassle stripping everything down (chiller , ice , open water loop) to use it for gaming anymore.

TBH I only use that computer for bench marking so it's no big deal leaving it at that speed. With all the coolers and chiller as well as room AC I need my own power station to run the thing. That's why I hardly use it . I know it's "daily" and I made mistake posting here .If the mods want to delete my posts, it's fine. My boo boo. Also, just waiting for my x299 board . I can use my i9 9980xe and forget about the ks. Taking a long time from USA lol. Just waiting for old mate to come along and call me liar again. Some people eh.

That 'some people' would be you according to your own admission of making the mistake of barging into a thread and bragging about a marginally stable system... Some people eh? That aside these open ended threads usually end up like this unless you define the exact conditions of your question.

spit051261 No , not really . Talk about " barging into a thread ". At least I apologized and only answered accusations thrown at me . What's your excuse ?

spit051261 Actually I am
When are you coming back for a chat about the shenanigans ? Yes Bro , I am as can be seen form all the screenshots I've posted . Hate being called a liar about something as unimportant as computer hardware .

I don't know why you quoted your own post, so moving past that... You are still not showing a CPU load which would validate your 5.6Ghz 24/7 claim. Superposition will not sufficiently stress a CPU to validate an overclock for 24/7 stability. That's what I'm calling BS on in case you missed it. Enabling XMP does not validate a memory OC either. You have to test it for errors and to make sure you are actually getting to about 90-95% of your theoretical bandwidth. The math for that is DDR Frequency x Number of Channels x 64 then / by 8. The Maximus XI Code is not known for great memory overclocking...or CPU overclocking for that matter. If it was an Apex, Gene or a Dark I'd be more inclined to believe your claims in regards to memory speed. It think you either don't have the knowledge to test and validate your clocks or you are purposefully misleading others.

Everything I have stated is true . I do run XMP on my 4400 and that works well enough and it's the fastest RAM that board will run. I can get top scores on GPU benchmarks as well as running my kingpin very fast (2295 and 8700). CPU is running as stated otherwise I wouldn't get the speeds I am getting.I use my PC for GPU benching and if I did run prime 95 at 5.6 , my CPU would likely self combust . Under no illusion about that and never said any different. How did you get on with that easy benchmark...get even near ? What exactly are you running , out of curiosity with all your "expertise" ? I've shown you mine and more , what do you have to hide ? Sounds to me like you have read a lot but have absolutely no practical experience .

He doesn't use the same definition of stability. You two won't see eye to eye; and this discussion is going nowhere.
That's not stable. You try. That's not a valid test of stability. Can you do better? That's not the point. It's my point. I don't care about your point. Well, I don't care about your point either. Then, why are you giving me a hard time? Because you came into this thread with a different definition of stability and are saying misleading things. I am not being misleading. It's not stable. Yes it is. No it's not. Yes, see. That's not the point. You try.
Around and around.

I know . I have not mislead anybody and just quoted facts with screenshots and pictures. I haven't seen anything off the ,"expert" calling me a liar but I have tried to show everything. I've also said my CPU runs at 5.6 all the time but I only use it for GPU benchmarks , surfing and normal stuff . He even doubted my ram LMAO. I've got a koolance so maybe he'll have something to say about that ( that he's read about like everything else). TBH it stinks of jealousy.

You know very well what people mean when they talk about 24/7 stability. That term implies something specific. Your system is not it. Benchmarking and Google do not establish stability. From my earlier post... "Show 30 min of Realbench 2.56 at 5.6Ghz. Heck, show one run of Linpack Extreme at 35000 with proper GFOPS for 5.6Ghz and correct residual. Just one. " Pull this off and I'll apologize publicly here for slamming your "24/7 stable" 5.6ghz.

I've had enough of this What are you running and what experience do you have to lecture me and demand I run this and that to satisfy you. Who are you ? Time for you to stump up and show yours. Unless you can't? Heck , show some benchmarks, pictures of rig.. Anything. Well ??????? I've shown you , your turn . For all I know you are someone with an 11" laptop surfing the net .
