Now I'm leaning towards a single NF-A12x25, seems like it would allow the fan to be run at 1500-2000rpm with a reasonable volume for everyday use, with still a decent improvement over stock.  Not really comparable to a pair of the industrial fans though.

OP - Just to understand.

You bought the EVGA Hybrid cooler, added new thermal paste, and replaced the fans that the cooler comes with from EVGA with Noctua fans and are getting around 45C?

Currently, I'm getting consisten 68-71C @ 84% power on my GPU. I do believe my issue is airflow, so, I am getting a new rig (keeping the GPU, but, new case, 9700K, 970 evo plus, new RAM, new MB and 1000W PSU)

It seems that finding these Hybrid coolers in stock for the Black Edition is like finding a unicorn.

Ordered a pair of the NF-A12x25, one for hybrid rad and one for a AIO.  Testing shows they push just as much as a 2000 rpm industrial though a radiator, due to how the P-V curve is.  People are reporting they are very quiet below 1700rpm, or about 7-10 db below the industrial.  If I want to do some benchmarking I'll P-P them on the hybrid and put generic fans on the CPU.

Properly installed hybrids at 100% power with the full speed stock single fan typically do about 50-51C in a 20C room.  With one of the best fans 3-5C less, and/or push pull another 3-5C less, so 40C to 45C at 100% power.

The OP is running a high power bios, around 380w vs. 250w stock.  He's also got a great case with a bunch of other very powerful fans.  At 250w power he'd probably be under 40C in a 20C room.

Keep in mind I get 56C at 100% power with EVGA's most basic air cooler at 100% fan speed and two 120mm case fans.  I'm expecting to get around 48-50C on a hybrid with one A12x25 noctua running at 1700 RPM and the card at about 115% power (300w).

I don't think it will get that low on a single 120mm rad.  You're pushing the limits the closer you get to 45c-50c where more rad will be needed.

Hey thanks, we'll see soon enough.  I'm just making an estimate based on what I've seen people reporting with various configurations. If OP is running 373w bios and getting 45C with the P-P fans in exhaust, I don't think it would be unreasonable to expect 50C or less with one of virtually the same performing fans in a gasketed intake push configuration at 300w.  Especially when I'm already getting 56C with potato fans and cooler at 260w.

Regardless, if I can run 2-3C cooler than the max stock fan with the A12 at 1700 rpm, I'll consider that a win because of the daily driver noise level.  I'll be sure to do a variety of tests and report back.  I can always test with dual noctua fans and see if it makes sense to get a second pair, though it's going to get very tight cramming it into my compact 4U rack case.

Right on.  I'm sure you will see some type of improvements with the upgrades to noctua fans as I've seen from someone else.  Can't go wrong with those if especially, audibles are important to the user.

Pic in the first post shows a 300 chip, that's non-binned.  Binned would be 300A. But it's still capable of OC, just doesn't have factory OC.

While we're at it, I'm curious what bios is being used.  Thanks!

Blacks are non A chip.  XC and up are.

You could OC blacks but not as good as the XCs and higher.

Sigh.  My A12's were backordered on Amazon with an estimated delivery of mid next week. Saw that they came back in stock so I tried to cancel the existing order and placed a new one for delivery on Sunday.  But haven't been able to cancel so far.  Might end up with 4 fans, end up running push pull on both the hybrid and AIO.  It should fit with some cable rebundling.  Got a serious case of CPDS (Computer Parts Derangement Syndrome) if I'm thinking it's ok to spend $120 on fans, yikes.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they'll tell me there's nothing they can do.  Their logistics service these days is pretty much a black box.

Figured out that it's the Palit bios for non-A chips, 310W at 124% power.

What Hybrid cooler are you using? None of the ones listed on the site say they're compatible with the Ti Black. Are you using a 3rd party hybrid cooler? I'm looking to swap bc 70s under max load is a little higher than I'd prefer, even if I'm not OC-ing

My 2080ti XC Ultra with Hybrid Kit and two NF-A12x25s at max keep the card around 55c at full load during 4k gaming at 2160mhz.  Using Kyronaut for thermal paste.

45c at load on a single 120mm rad seems a bit crazy, I even keep my rad outside the case.

Runs far better than my KPE did.

Are you referring to the FTW3 Hybrid kit? it says it doesnt fit reference boards like the black and XC. Do you have to do anything special to get it to fit? I'm new to swapping coolers

I bought one of the reference Hybrid Kits when they were still available.
