Mr Bacon I'm last in Central :( I feel your pain. Hoping that won't last for much longer though.
Remember: No Pain No Gain.
He's had plenty of pain getting his 960 going strong. lol
lol yes I have. It was getting ridiculous for a bit there. Got it all squared though thanks to your guidance.

bcavnaugh I wonder if Shifttfreeride is the new Grandpa but is on Team EVGA?
All I know is that I've got a bad addiction to folding. Until I find a better hobby it is likely I'll keep adding in more hardware and making that electric bill soar ever higher. I really need to find a way to convince work to let me bring the computers in and them pay for the electric bill. Lol

Almost at the 1 mill mark for the challenge. I have gotten my 7950 up and running too, it puts out ~120K PPD, that should boost my points up a little. Though I had one 9430 WU fail on my 780 Ti's , but it was only @ 6% completion so it didn't set me back by much.

Last year my high for the elect bill was just under $900, so now that I am on a Fixed Income so to speak I cannot run all my rigs. But even if I could my circuit panel would melt down. The good think about the new 9xx cards they take only one third of the power that the 6xx cards needed to fold and maybe even the 7xx cards. And even under water AMD cards just run to hot and take to much power, although I am still running my Two LCS Radeon R9 290X Cards that I got the year before last for Folding and now Crunching. Now I have all these Water Cooled Rigs with nothing to do anymore, I need to find some new homes for them. PS We needed BadBertie and Orange_1050 for the MOP Team to help offset the great Folding you are now doing.

One of the good things about living in an older place is that the washer and dryer circuit has the standard three prong outlet attached. So I am able to put a couple machines on that and just shut them down for a couple hours whenever I need to do some laundry. Before doing that I could trip the breakers with a few lights/fans on. It would be great if they would jump in and help out. The more people the better. I should have sat this competition out as it just makes the teams too lopsided to have only one person doing 5ish mil/day. Next time I'll have to request just being on my own team to make things more fair.

That was Why I gave you the new Tile of Grandpa he would do the same. It was an attempt to make a pun, but not all that good at jokes. Still in all I am glad you are on our Team Team@EVGA

I live in a rented house and the very small 3rd bedroom is my computer room. I talked to my landlord and with his permission had two separate lines run in from the power pole at the corner of that bedroom each on there own high amp breaker with nice heavy wire. The 4 plug boxes one on each side of the bedroom sure make it nice, my UPS per computer has nice clean power coming in.

As un4givn85 said no real need to. I updated all my rigs yesterday and down clocked my 980 cards are they are now humming along.

bcavnaugh No one is in last place on an EVGA Team, we are all at the top of our game.
That's very true. :) I'm very happy and glad to be involved in this now - it's awesome to see Stanford put this out while I'm also studying many of these conditions in school. On my upcoming test there'll be questions on Huntington's, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's! Zuhl3156 +1 for that. As long as you're Folding, you're all number one in my book.
Thank you again for all of the help! You guys are an awesome group. :) Mr Bacon I'm last in Central :( I feel your pain. Hoping that won't last for much longer though.
We can do it! :) I just broke 100k total yesterday, looking forward to reaching my first 1 million hopefully by the end of this month. After finishing this next work unit I'm going to try adding my GTX 560 Ti in and see what happens. At the very least, it'll let me run a bit more on my computer as long as it works.

Got my fingers crossed on getting another 970 out of this contest. *grins* LOVE these cards for EVERYTHING, especially folding!
Also, looking forward to clawing back some of my places over the next little bit - I made it up to 50th place and have slowly fallen back to 66th. I'm ready to climb back up the ladder for a little while.

So I just got back from Micro Center. 850 Evo 500GB for 149.99+tax and a free Assassin's Creed Syndicate code.
That was hard to turn down. Guess I'll be moving to SSD at some point after the competition is over!

As others have said, no real need to update drivers. I did it anyway and it did not seem to affect folding at all.

Drahzar - You will NOT regret the move to SSD for a boot drive. Every PC but one in our house is on an SSD Boot disk with standard drive for profile storage. Booting into a fully functional desktop in a matter of a few seconds is AMAZING!

Well back in the days of the Big adv. Mountain Had a lot of big guns . Now there is a few that have not folded in a bit . Like Old Slow Gamer . Heck I am only running about half of what I got just been scabbing parts and not updating vid cards . But did just order a new reservoir so I can put the one in main comp. back in other comp it belongs in not big Enough for main . So no you should not of set out this competition .

I've been waiting to move to the SSD boot until I got this drive, I've got a HyperX 3K 120GB that I won in a contest a while ago, but I haven't been able to break up my RAID array since I wouldn't have space enough for my games if something happens. Now I get to wait until the TZC is over, but I wanted to clue everyone in to the deal.
