I am getting garbage for points 1 or 2 units finished and low points for every single work unit that is completely. I dropped to 1.2m yesterday from 1.46m of my normal PPD. I may have to get someone to go reboot my PC so it can run better... It went for 10 days straight without a single issue.

You should have someone check your log file to see how many bad WU you have had or how many times it encountered bad data and had to go back to a previously known good check point. Just a thought.

people talk about various cores. Ive never seen anything but x18 myself. I know when i first started the folding for the bucks and did very rough looking up, some cores are for different cards. Others talk about flags. Ive just left my client at default setup other then deleting the CPU because way too hot for way too little points.

Wow that sounds familiar. I also dropped about 300k ppd yesterday. No bad wu's warning just very slow on 1 machine. I restarted it a couple times because the desktop wasn't very responsive, didn't seem to help. Should have made a note of the project number. This morning I installed the latest driver and all seems to be back to normal. My other machine wasn't affected . Just getting some very odd behavior. Some core 21s have great point potential and some are just awful.

SMP wus are drying up again, it seems - my CPU at home is currently idle, attempting to download new work.

So far everything seems stable, so its looking more like that was an external to the house problem. *knocks on wood, crosses fingers, toes, and eyes*

The last time I could afford to fold for a full month was in May when the current objective was to overtake Default. I would be willing to continue folding nonstop for the entire month if EVGA would award the participants with a Z97 Classified motherboard. You might think this is a ridiculous request but in essence it is a win-win situation for all involved. We get a motherboard that can fit more video boards for better folding production and EVGA gets a big tax break for a donation towards continuing medical research.

Do you not think that EVGA is already awarding us with EVGA Bucks is not enough?
It would be like asking Stanford for a computer to Fold their Programs or Tasks that is.

New 358.87 drivers were just released. Every time I update my drivers my ppd goes through the roof for a while. I'm afraid of losing a WU if I shut down to update.

Anyone know where NVIDIA moved the Cache Folder to?

just spaced my GPUs out to run cooler, had them stacked together before as that was the only way to run 3 way SLI (that I never use) now they aren't hitting throttling temps anymore :)

The request was so far fetched that EVGA is either still rofl or so traumatized they will need therapy for months. I will present your proposal to Stanford for you.

I do recall one time EVGA did a surprise giveaway to the folders,I won a 9800 GT (to give you an idea of how long ago that was, the 200 series was the latest at the time)

I don't see them doing anything really big as there's not a huge incentive for them to boost the folding program, it's already number 1 over even default, so there's not much publicity left to get from folding. the fact that they still do the EVGA bucks might be considered big given that they've already "maxed" the program and anything left over is pretty much out of pure generousity.

EVGA offered a GTX 590 to one lucky random folder winner.  That was a few years ago when Kepler GPU's hadn't hit the market yet.
