Before this contest started everything was fine

Yeah, for me too. We're being sabotaged in the Eastern Zone especially in the Philly area. I have had two bad WU since the contest started.

we should still have the goal of having the drawing at the contest comes to an end, with prize selection beginning approximately a week before then to make sure everyone has enough time to pick a prize.  At current rates that is just over a week before prize selection begins and thus the prize pool is locked.

You heard the man - one week left for prize donations!

Thank you for that that very insightful input (as always) Punchy.

You are welcome, and thanks for ignoring the attitude in my previous post.  In my old age I think I'm turning into that grumpy guy that yells at kids to get off his lawn

*tosses punch a spare walker to shake at the younguns* I hear ya, brother!

Also, we've already posted enough points on EOC to have another over 100 Million point day as a team! Keep up the awesome work, folks! Definitely a record CRUSHING month if we keep this up!

i think some of that is because it's the beginning of the month and people are just doing their 1.5mil for the evga bucks.
You can see how at the end of sep there was a low point and Oct had a drop off around the 11th.

Yeah, also been seeing "Empty work server assignment" errors again popping in the logs, but so far has resolved in an hour or much less. I wish Pande Group would get its act together, otherwise as GPUs get more powerful this will become an ever bigger problem.

Core 21 P9208 seems to be a winner right now. +150000.0 for Credit, no status for PPD though. 8 Hours to complete.

Almost reminds me of the old BA days.

Yeah, no freaking kidding! I started getting Core 21 projects on the 1st and my Titan Black chews through them in a third less time than the Core 18's require.

The Core 21 projects are obliterating the PPD average I gave for the contest. I didn't intend to lowball my estimate  Sure wish I could get these all the time, running no flags and getting a 40/60 mix at the moment.

I have two Core x21 projects running now and both are averaging around an eight hour time to completion. They are certainly dragging my ppd down. I am now under 640,000 ppd after averaging nearly 800,000 ppd for what seems like forever.

Part of my estimate was based on an average of 175k ppd on a gtx 780 but am seeing closer to 230-250k on the p9205's. Oh well, everyone is in the same predicament.

Titan X will not go in the PCIE slot it sits on top of the USB headers so put the pc back together and just now got it folding again.

that sucks man
what are you going to do?

edit: 110 million points for the team today
way to go guys
also 15 people with over 1 million ppd average currently

Will finish the contest then look for a new motherboard that will do 4 way SLI so the three Titans will fit in it.
Move the the motherboard that will only hold two GPUs into the PC that blue screens on me every couple of days.
Sell the Intel 2600K CPU and junk the old motherboard and ram.

I maybe interested in putting that old system to good use crunching WCG looking for a cure for AIDS and EBOLI.
Shoot me a PM as to what you would want for it.

PM sent.

So sorry to say that my system will be offline until some time tomorrow, my 780Ti keeps failing WU's not just Core21.
I have removed the client-type flag completely, and have seen no real change.

I have ordered a 980Ti which should arrive tomorrow and i will starting folding again ASAP!

Hope not to have let my teammates down too much :P
I should be able with the new card to catch up again :)

No worries aimon. Sorry you're having issues but you're not letting anybody down. I think ordering another card goes beyond the call of duty and you are going to love the upgrade. Hope to see you chewing up proteins and spitting out WUs real soon. Good luck with the new hardware.

Who would I need to PM to change gift donation regions? I did 2 sets of ram and figure I should have made them world wide. The rest of the stuff is big enough and heavy enough that shipping would get expensive really quick.

And if anyone has questions about the test bench or the cable extensions I put up send me a PM and I'll answer asap.

Don't feel bad, it's not your fault. If you have an overclock, some WU don't agree with it. I really enjoy my 980's ,so the TI should be pretty Schweet! GL!!

Looks like the "empty work assignment server" problem is getting worse. One of my machines has had the CPU idling for 4 hours and still waiting.  If a competition wasn't going on I'd just turn the rig off at this point, because last time they had this problem it took a week to resolve and I saw machines waiting entire days sometimes for SMP projects.

Thanks for the words

I did downclock it, even below reference stock.. It just kept hanging.
Lets hope it was the card and not the system

In any case i will have a nice upgrade for gaming

Well I add some 780's into the mix.
Mostly to see how well they do on Core 21 and also to keep up and over take Gunsvnvmc by the weekend.
Also I need to restart my 980HC Rig because of a Core 21 taking 100% of the GPU 100% of the time and seeing video slowness and non responsive Desktop. So in doing this I might drop in PPD for today.

I've had this happen, it is on the verge of failing. A quick pause always fixed it for me.

I've had this happen several times as well, and the pause/unpause that un4givn85 mentioned works most every time to get it back on track.

Come on eastern, you can do better than this, don't let central overpower us with their heavy hitters, we can make up for it with, uh, ethusism!

Also don't let MOP mop the floor-- I'm sorry, that pun is too bad even for me. let's go eastern!

I'm folding my little hiney off over here in case nobody noticed. It got so hot in here I had to turn the AC on and put a floor fan to blow air over my video boards they got so hot running these Core x21 torture units. The only fun I am having is watching my electric meter spin around and that is about as exciting as staring into a mirror watching my hair grow.

New 358.87 drivers were just released. Every time I update my drivers my ppd goes through the roof for a while. I'm afraid of losing a WU if I shut down to update.

1,120k+ atm with all cards (3 GTX 980 ACX 2.0 SC) folding with the new drivers 320k to 418k per card, not enough to say for sure that the drivers gave a boost, but it's not any worse that I can tell at least.

I have this happening right now. This will be a very bad day for me

I got saddled with the same identical Core x21 on both video boards at about the same time this morning. They were 125,000+ point eight hour marathon runs and just finished after the last update. I should have a 250,000 point bombshell land during the next update.
