Just an FYI - at some point this weekend, once I've completed chores and done my photographing to catch back up on my reviews for the Mod Zoo, I'll grab the entrants so far and get hourly data running so Troy has something he can set up with and we can start working out new kinks if any have cropped up.

I would like to join but it's been brutally hot here (in the mid-90's until two days ago) so I have not been able to test rigs, and I have no clue about point values any more. I have my bigadv rig (dual E5-2660's) and a single older GPU (Radeon HD7870). Anyone know what ppd I might get from each of them?

Just wanted to remind folks that might be hedging on their signup to get accurate numbers, I'm holding everyone to the October 30th, 9pm EST deadline. I have been too busy as of late to be able to do the last few add-ins like I have in the past, and I want to make sure I don't disqualify someone who really wants to join.
So, spread the word far and wide that Friday, Oct. 30th, 9pm EST is it. Otherwise, the stats system is humming along nicely from my end, minimal dusting off needed to get things running smoothly as far as archiving the hourly stats goes.

This is a little off-topic but does anyone know if you can Fold in a x4 PCI-E slot? How much will it affect performance if it is possible at all? I have a extra slot that I could squeeze another video board into if necessary but then both of my lower PCI-E slots would run at x4 speeds. Thanks for not laughing.

I may be mistaken, but I believe that won't limit your folding ability at all - The heavy lifting is done internally on the video card with small bursts leaving to be cached on the drive as each step progresses, but it's not the same heavy data stream that you would expect with video processing. d

I have the exact same card, and it's my main GPU. I don't recall exact PPD, but I think I was able to just barely reach the EVGA bucks minimum if I left it running 24/7. So, about 25,000 PPD. Point is, IMO it's worth it for the competition, at least.

Here's a few log records from when I still had the GTX 680s over the course of 2-3 days before I ended up selling them.
