drougnor deserves a big thanks (and a BR ) for his tireless efforts providing the stats for this, and all our contests.  Most people don't realize the effort he puts in behind the scenes making sure everything is running smoothly - this year we found out at the last minute there was interest from other teams and he threw together a system that allowed us to track their stats too!  Lets not take for granted what an asset he is to have on our team! 

I have every confidence that Afterburner will be around soon to recognize both Drougnor and Troy for allowing us to have and enjoy this years Time Zone Challenge!!  You guys are irreplaceable and give so much to this team each year.  Thank you both!

Hey all.  Punchy is working on putting together his prize selection page.  As soon as he's done with that, I'll draw the names and we can begin distributing the gifts that were donated.  A big thanks to Punchy for helping us with this - it is so much better than the old way.

• Mountain Time Zone crossed the finish line in fourth place this morning, completing the 2012 Time Zone Challenge in 15.71 days!  Congrats guys!

It hasn't been copied to the front page of the thread, but troy8d made the official call.

Congratulations to all the teams and finally I can let my computer rest and clean the dust gathered during the contest. 
We, the folders, should have some discount on electricity bill. 
I will calculate how much I went over the regular consumption. 

 
Im sure you can find some loophole to make it tax deductible. Like giving to charity or something. 

 

Not in the country I currently live in and haven't heard of such thing anywhere else. It was more like an idea...hope a good one.

Congratulations to all the teams for successfully finishing the 2012 TZC. Big thanks to everyone that spend a considerable amount of their time organizing this event and also to everyone who folded with us .

So, what's happening with Madrias?  I don't recall what change(s) he is going through these days.  Is he on "walk-about" or something?    Every time I read your comments about not hearing from him, I'm left wondering..."is he in trouble somewhere", "ignoring Shykal", or just what's the reason?  He'd better contact you soon, or all us guys here on the team are going to hafta adopt you as our "team girl-friend"...and I mean that in the most respectful of ways too.  Hang-in-there...

He is without internet for a while, he went offline 4th of Sept, here's a post of his a little before his net got dropped http://forums.evga.com/fb.ashx?m=1724425
He told me he'd get online at least once a week at the library. Concerned he had a long walk, I looked up where the library was and how far from his house, it's pretty much around the corner about 10mins perhaps 15mins on a slow stroll, as he has to walk, he can't in bad weather so I look/ed that up too, it's been fair weather lately. Without giving too much info, Mad is in Illinois about (and if I recall correctly) 2 hours from Rockford (I used to have family in Rockford, they've moved though).
He dropped by the library came online 10th Sept, I sent a letter 3rd Oct via a fellow folder who posted it off for me so it takes 2-3 days to send rather than 10 from Aus, nothing back from Mad, until he dropped by the library 16th Oct.
I sent him early (to avoid the Christmas post rush) a couple of drawings tucked safely with a Christmas card on the 29th Oct taking into account the 10 days post from Aus he should've got it by at least 9th Nov. As he hasn't dropped by online I've no idea if he got it or not.
Another letter has been sent via a fellow folder Mad should get it this Tues or Wed (US).
 
So at this point I'm quite worried if he's okay or not as he hasn't been heard from since the 16th Oct. I've just checked messenger and email and still nothing, so another day passes and no word from Madrias.
In the Christmas card I made a request that he come online on his Birthday which is coming up the 17th Dec, I'm going to be even more of a mess with worry by then, and if he still doesn't drop by online then, I don't know what I'll do.
 
Adopt me as the team girlfriend... Hmm I don't know about that as some of you would be rather questionable boyfriends .

Mad isn't going to College and is not working.
He'd hate me saying anymore than that.

Maybe reach out to someone in Mad's family if you have ability to contact them?  I figure if he had met with some misfortune, a family member should have heard about it.  I think all of us want to know that he is OK and will return to full function by February.  All kidding aside about you being the "team girlfriend", we are just sending you a hug and hoping that your relationship with Mad is realized in the best of ways.  Thanks for the information about him and I guess we all just have to wait and see...
