Just talked to Newegg support...the "Release Date: 05/08/2017" shown on the pre-order/order history page has nothing to do with when they will have stock. They have no idea when they will have any apparently.
Basically, if you pre-ordered from Newegg, don't expect your card to ship today, or likely anytime soon from the sound of it.

Yep...same here. I mean, when you see this on your Pre-order page: https://gyazo.com/8c1fbcdcf2a5b73320210f4d3662c0e2 you kinda expect it to be the day the card starts shipping. Not for them to tell you it's not, that they have no stock, and no idea when they will have stock, as well as trying to say that is EVGA's release date, even though EVGA has been shipping cards since what, the 1st? Same here. I just got done chatting with Newegg. They say they have not received any inventory from EVGA. So tomorrow perhaps?

I told Amazon (UK) if I don't get my card by the end of next week I'm cancelling the order and I'll get it from Scan or Alza. They're really bad at getting stock. Even other brands like the ASUS Strix and the MSI SEA HAWK X 1080Ti (still listed as "pre-order" when it's already out lol) haven't been in stock for almost a month and a half now. Their suppliers are extremely slow. EVGA's production is no better, they've been really below par again, they knew there was going to be a very high demand and yet they still didn't bother to increase production. It just screams incompetence.

Even people who pre-ordered directly from EVGA (EU) have not received their FTW3 yet... I'm not confused bud, I just don't like being fed lies from companies. There's no need to defend EVGA, they've handled the situation poorly. First it was lack of communication, then lies, then changing the estimated shipping dates.

that isn't the case is it... ASUS, MSI, Zotac have been supplying the EU much quicker. EVGA is just preposterously slow at manufacturing.

I was finally able to get the pre-order button on Newegg this past Friday, I put my order through immediately. Yeah, I know I'm late to the party, but it was the first chance I had to see the Pre-order button and get all the way through the order process. But at least mine is ordered now. Because now it's showing "Auto Notify" again and no Pre-order button. Better late then...later. :)
BTW I'm in the U.S.

LMAO, there's Americans complaining about missing out on the 1st May shipments then getting it shipped out on the 5th yet we (Australia) didn't get any info till a few days ago saying we weren't getting ours till the 10th (probably not even then) and we're paying more for the card XD so yeah Americans can be entitled.

I now have a ups tracking number ie: label has been made and evga waiting for pickup by ups. hopefully it will arrive by Friday the 12th. for 1 ftw3. my second ftw3 that I ordered from bh video still showing est shipment date of 11 may.

Be glad you live so close. I live in South Dakota and while mine shipped out last Friday, I won't be seeing my card until Thursday (unless something amazing happens and UPS delivers it early). Been trying to curb my excitement until it is actually in my hands. Waiting for shipping is dreadful.

Guess I was lucky on the 5/8 Orders, mine was shipped with 5/5! I thought all the other 5/8 where shipped than since mine was ordered pretty late lol. I'm still waiting for it. It's due tomorrow but it hasn't even really moved.

Ordered from AU store on the 28th of March. Just got the prompt to pay the Paypal balance of $USD800. No additional costs or fees at all (converted into $AUD1124.4). Almost there! Just waiting for the final conformation and shipping to commence

Ordered from AU store on the 28th of March. Just got the prompt to pay the Paypal balance of $USD800. No additional costs or fees at all (converted into $AUD1124.4). Almost there! Just waiting for the final conformation and shipping to commence
There's no "fees" but Paypal took a nice cut from the exchange rate conversion itself without telling you. 800 USD = 1088 AUD at the moment and their usual fee is about 3% (1088 * 1.03 = 1120 which is about what you paid).

Sure there is - I use a card with no foreign transaction fees and get them to bill the card in EUR instead of trying to convert it to GBP at their inflated rate.
