Hello guys,

can someone tell me if a 1080ti ftw3 need a support to ensure the MB PCI-e channel don´t "die"?

Thanks

i mean, is the card too heavy that it may sag the motherboard PCI-e channel?

It's the coolers shroud that is not even, it's bent out of shape.

manufactures really need to look at the shroud design so help prevent this some, the second fix he did can be blamed on zotac for a weak design on the shroud.

I'm worried about GPU sag as well... but also, cards don't seem to be designed to support themselves from the fan shroud.

Generally the shroud is cosmetic. Some backplates offer structural support. I've gotten into the habit of manipulating the bracket with a slight angle so that when you install the GPU, the bracket is pulling the GPU slightly up. After inserting the GPU into the slot, if you've done it correctly, you have to lift up the back edge of the GPU slightly to to align the GPU bracket and case to install the screws.
