Hey All,

Just got my phone call too!

Waiting on Blue, they said it should ship out middle of next week.

Can anyone with Green do a comparison to either Razer Bright Green (Headphones), Razer Dark Green (Keyboard LEDs) or nVidia Green (Im thinking the LEDs on the unbranded Geforce cards)?

Thanks!

Hi Everyone,

I can confirm that the cards are a flat paint with a metallic flake and the pictures do not do it justice for how it looks to the eye.

In either circumstance if anyone is not happy with the card that they order because the color is not what they had expected, then we are here to help.  Please contact our support and we can work with you.  https://www.evga.com/about/contactus/

An anodized coating justt like the renders would have been leagues better for an "Elite" card

I looked and the shroud does hang over a bit but not bad enough to cause any issues. The one thing I do like is the color does match a lot of the other red stuff I already have. The other color wouldn't have for sure lol. It kind of changes color as well if you turn it in the light.

I should have just gotten the default FTW3.... Feels like I wasted my time for the elite cards to come out.
The colours look nothing like what was advertised & to make matters worse the EU shipments were delayed by a week.

EVGA should upgrade the shipment speed for EU users, the communication from EVGA regarding this has been rather poor.

TBH it looks like the original pictures are with a metal shroud.

I was thinking the same thing, but I haven't seen any of the colors except white in person, so...
Anyway, I really like the way my white shroud looks and I am very happy to have waited for it.

I was worried that the black Elite I ordered was going to be dark grey with sparkles in it.
I'm not worried anymore. It is indeed black...

Oh, and the shroud is painted metal, not plastic, like I've heard from people say it is.

the black looks kickass. Thats the one i ordered. Would have been a nice EVGA touch if it was metalic like the renders.

It is metallic. Just not exactly like the render.

Yes!  Got my card in!  Lighting is definitely what shows off the metallic effect, but as some have said, it comes across better in person.  I'm definitely pleased with the green.  So far it's the blue and red that come across the most differently from the renders.

Yeah there definetly metallic if you move it around the color will change a bit. Think that's why they don't photograph well.

The green looks really cool. The metallic yellow sparkles are almost identical to the renders. Still waiting for the red one, but hopefully it will fit my Asus/MSI stuff.

That green looks really good. Sadly the color wouldn't go well with my mod.

Pretty ignorant.  We paid extra specifically for the color and some were not even in the ballpark with what was advertised.  Color matching is not that hard.

At my place of business, a color variation similar to what we have seen would get an entire batch rejected.

Very good point! The photographer should be fired! The colors should match! Like you pointed out, the "Elites" had to pay and extra $25 and not to mention, wait another 3 weeks for shipping. Not feeling very "Elite" lately!

However, I did get (black version) mine, Friday May 26th. Haven't even had a moment to open the box. Am doing some maintenance to my computer Sunday, so will open and install it then. Pull my (old) 980ti Classified out and hopefully get something for it.

What photographer... people keep saying that.. computer renders are not photos. Yes, ghe colors should have matched, but i highly doubt they were photos. Period.. stop saying that.

Anyway...I think we can call this one handled...live and learn.
EVGA obviously made an effort to help those of us that were unhappy, which I appreciate, and immediately updated the product pages with accurate pictures.
Besides the color, my GPU is performing really well.

Unfortunately, I don't have any Razer products to take a pic with for direct comparison, but from the ones I've seen before and stuff on the web site, I'd say the green shroud is in the same ballpark and would complement it nicely.  It's definitely way closer to Razer green than Nvidia green, if you consider Razer green to be a bit lighter than Nvidia's.

I got the white elite and it's awesome.    It is pure white with just very.... very...... slight metallic finish !

It's perfect !!!

But, the best thing may be that EVGA binned the Elite cards.

Don't know about the rest of you but I OC'd the card and I'm getting a stable 2062 Mhz on the core and 5858 Mhz on memory.

I haven't pushed it much harder with voltage.

The OC I was able to do resulted in a 2-3 FPS difference in Witcher 3..... not significant but at least something !!

But, 2062MHz on the core seems to be better than most of the 1080ti cards are getting.

So, based on performance it was worth the extra $25.

It would be interesting to hear what the all the Elite FTW3 cards are getting for max OC compared to the non-Elite FTW3s.

Not to burst your bubble but my FE did that with the fans up to 80%. Now with on a hybrid with the voltage up +100mv it will go as high 2113hz before bouncing to 2100~2087 stable.

This is the single dumbest post I've ever read here hands down.

The renderings showed an anodized finish on a metal cooler, You can render out a much different looking matte finish or metallic paint over a plastic body fyi, I'm sure you don't know a single thing about product development or digital design though.  You can even render to reflect a surface with a different base color, paint / metallic flake opacity and even simulate different levels, forms and location of lighting.........

How triggered are you, aut?

Also most of the people here are much older and more mature than you.

I work in an industry with 200-500,000 dollar cars and if there was even the slightest degree of variation in tone or hue to any color of material it would never pass or be acceptable to pass on to a customer,

yet alone charging extra for it and then backtracking after the fact to pretend it's ok.

Seems like there's only one whining " millennial " here bud, and that's you.

I suggest you seek help or counselling for your behavior problem,  I'm sure it shows up in other aspects of your life quite a bit

that's great !

What software did you use to up the voltage?

Precision OC just appears to have a voltage % slider  that can go up to 100%, but I don't see anywhere to make a +100mv change.

Also wondering .....  Precision OC displays a different core speed than the benchmark tools like heaven and valley.

The benchmark software always displays higher core speed than what precision OC shows...... do you know why that happens ?

They didn't.  Stop psyching yourself out.  Only the kp has a binned chip.  I've seen 4/5 FE's that hit 2088+...............

If anything is binned I'd say it's the FE's.  Since nvidia had first dibs I'm willing to bet they took all the best parts of the silicon for use in their own cards.  Then sold off the crust to their partners.
