Well, I wrote PM`s @k|ngp|n and @TiN at kingpin forum 3 days ago, but no answer. So, I guess, I don`t know right people. May go with shunt mod, but seems pointless to me to bay this card and go for hardmod. Especially according this:

We contacted EVGA about getting a sample for review and their reply indicated that they would only be sampling press who strictly use LN2 (Liquid Nitrogen). Its the first time we have heard a marketing executive state that Liquid nitrogen was a prerequisite for reviewing a graphics card.

@kitguru.net

Thanks anyway.

Yeah, Vince doesn't give them out lightly. I got mine because I've known him for a while and I run LN2. You'd have to be known by him for him to write you a BIOS.

Yes, that bios exist but you need to understand why it is not for public and each copy have coded to its owner. So it is NOT for any sharing and copying. By the way I had similar problem with the big question how to get hands on it myself, and after some research and proper dialogue I got it. Dont ask for it here or anywhere else from users who got it, because they cant share it. Only way is dialogue with proper chanels...

So, have tried xoc bios in gaming, benching on my air. So if card runs around 420w of power its around 150% tdp the air icx coolers on 100% can done the job to keep card at 60-65C. But if pushing around 500w
which are around 180% tdp what I see when using Superposition 8K bench at 1.100v it goes to 70+C... So I made 140mm fan to cool the backplate and 80mm high pressure fan below the GPU fan to push more air flow. So I suggest that on stock air icx it will not hold good more than 150% tdp which are around 420w of total power... Just my impressions. Tried to run Superposition 8K at 1.150v, but at 600w the temperature go over 70C after around 8-10 scenes.. :)

Hi,
Great topic. I'll try this extreme oc bios right now.
My voltage is locked at 1.012V, even if I rise the voltage controller to 100%. I've tried with the normal bios and the OC bios and it didn't change.
Is it normal with this card?

Thank you.

Re: 1080 Ti Kingpin Extreme Watercooling OC VBIOS 2018/05/04 15:06:12 (permalink)
Increasing the voltage slider to 100% doesn't actually make the card run at its maximum voltage of 1.093v. Raising it to 100% just allows the card to use up to 1.093v if needed. If your card is only using 1.012v then it may not need to use up to 1.093v for whatever you're trying to do. What are your clocks running at when the card is using 1.012v?

BitsPower Makes a Waterblock for the 1080ti KINGPIN card.  I was hoping for an EVGA one too but since it seems unlikely I just ordered one from Bitspower direct from Taiwan should get it in about a week.

ordered two bitspower water blocks for my kingpin cards. I just have to install them and see how much better the temps are going to be in sli .Ordered my water blocks from performance Pcs.com had to wait 3 weeks because the blocks were on preorder. Can anyone tell me if bitspower are good water blocks first time water cooling my GPU ‘s. Using the water blocks with alphacool copper radiators.

Mine arrived in the mail but still waiting for other parts before I can build my loop.  The build quality/fit & finish is top notch, I hope they perform too.  I know this is sort of off topic for the thread but please post your results after you mount them into your loop.  They seem to me like they are going to be exactly what I was looking for.

Okay When I mount the waterblocks I will post my results. I also have the extreme oc bios that Sajin posted on my kingpins but I was air cooled before hoping to really see what these cards can do under water.

Installed my bitspower waterblocks to my Kingpin cards in sli. Temps before on air-cooling while playing Civ 6 were 68' C for top card and 65' C for bottom card. 2038 mhz core 5800 mhz memory. Now on water-cooling 37' C top card and 35' C for bottom card 2050 Mhz core 5900 mhz memory and cards do not down clock for temp while playing Civ 6. I will overclock the cards some more later but great temps on water-cooling. The kingpin cards really need to be put on water to overclock them.

Hell yeah!  I guess that answers the question of whether or not BitsPower makes good blocks or not.  I mean, I assumed they would because of their fittings, but there just is not a lot of reviews out there in the wild on their blocks it seems.  Well you made my day, now I really cannot wait to finish up the the design and milling of my water distro plate and get my loop installed.  Thanks for posting!
