Your card still under 30 days return unfortunately if you bought from here you pay restocking fee though. I have till 20th to return to microcenter ill give till then to see if i cant get or not. Also mine is MSI not EVGA so don't hate me for returning EVGA.

Care less about the controversy and more about when the damn kit is going to sell. They said on twitter they were getting shipments today; would like this year+ bigfoot hunt to be actually realized so I can move on with my life ugh.
Gonna give it this week then I'm probably going to mod a regular 1080 kit, seems like a pain that didn't need to happen but EVGA is really killing with this.

Gonna give it this week then I'm probably going to mod a regular 1080 kit, seems like a pain that didn't need to happen but EVGA is really killing with this.
So you don't care in the slightest that EVGA not only jacked up the price and it trying to justify it with misleading marketspeak, but also allegedly going to be a "limited run"? Even if the kit launches, good luck getting your hand on it. This isn't going to be like the 1080ti where you sit back fro a month and you can eventually get one. If it is a TRUE limited run, they will produce x-qty and then poof...Furthermore, because they were so kind as to announce this on twitter, you know scalpers just got reaaaaaaaaaaaly excited.

1080 kit is an AIO and does fit 1080Ti/XP :P
LOL, I meant without jury rigging it... ;)
For the millionth time...You can do it without any modifications. Modifications only required for using shroud. Works perfectly fine with the shroud off.

Mods generally get to it within a day or two. Heavy threads with lots of quotes may get issued sometimes.

It's been stated in other threads for the 1080 Ti pre-orders that the auto-notify mails people in the order it's received. So it could arrive hours or a day later depending how many people are being notified before you.

So for the 1080 Hybrid kit shroud to fit a 1080 ti FE does it just need a dremel on that one piece for the power or does it need even more modding?
I wouldn't mind saving 40 bucks and the hassle if all it takes is to dremel that one piece...
I also saw where the Gamers Nexus guy plugged the pump and rad fan into the GPU but isn't that bad for the pump to be connected to a variable speed fan header?
I was under the impression that its always best to plug the pump directly into the PSU... or at least a fan header at 100% with no variable.
I would disagree in what you are thinking, the GTX 1080Ti is more like the Titan X (Pascal) or XP Graphics Card and NOT the GTX 1080 Graphics Card. If your Thinking was correct then all the Titan XP Owners would not be here blaming EVGA for not providing a Hybrid Cooler for their NON-EVGA NVIDIA Titan X (Pascal) Graphics Cards.

Also, it's not going to be out of stock for eternity, I just want it to be sellable so we can get this show on the road. Lastly, if I can't get the Hybrid I'm willing to go look at custom loops or other solutions, but the last thing I want is to waste time and effort modding the 1080 kit or going custom cooling just to have the TI kit release and be easily attainable, so soon as I know my "chance is up" I can move on to Plan B and C without fear. Likewise, I might just end up getting my kit without issue.. Millionth and one time, modifications ARE NOT REQUIRED. They are only needed if you want to install the shroud. Leaving the shroud OFF doesn't require anything other than attaching the GPU cooler.

The shrouds are exactly the same (with the exception of the text). The difference in the bottom left corner is the midplate. You also need to cut out a portion of the plate next to the fan. Here are some pics of a modified 1080 kit. I'm posting these pics for awareness, because the slight changes to the midplate are NOT worth a $40 price increase. This is price gouging at its worst.
((The shrouds are exactly the same (with the exception of the text).)) Better look closer. You cannot have Both "exactly the same" and exception, you even use the word difference. But in any case why have the NVIDIA Titan XP Owners not done what you have done for your card? Remember that in doing what you have done to your Hybrid Cooler Voids your Warranty and any Support for your Cooler (Pump).
