So which link is the correct vbios for the air ftw3 on the kp forum? It seems the link and title/caption don't match.

You can't mess it up. It will check for the right card on flash and won't flash if it's the wrong card.

so basically the same...
The Overclock is the same for the most part if that is what you are asking but it is not what the Issue was about.
i'm not asking, just pointing the fact that results are basically the same with old and new bios. Or am I missing something? I've updated bios on mine card during the weekend, but didn't have time to put it to some more tests. What I was managed to observe is that I cannot get my overclock stable in 3d mark at point I had it in original bios. I'm crashing 3d mark with anything above +10 on core. On old bios I was able to get +50. Different thing is with superposition - there I can get +70 on core stable. Other thing with superposition is that I can get only one reliable run after computer start, all other runs are like hoovering around 50-80% power not using gpu at 100% and to fix that I have to reboot... Fact is that I can observe now a higher power limit (spiking to 131). At least that is what PXOC reports. And only in superposition, 3d mark doesn't seem to be affected. It doesn't make a lot of sense really.

Can we get a guide on how to flash the bioses properly? Also this won't void warranty right? Lastly how would I go applying this with sli cards

Is this an official EVGA fix for the problem? I know K.P. works for EVGA but until EVGA states here is the bios that will fix your problem I really do not consider this " fixed " per say.

And the results from before and after the " fix " is very underwhelming, just my opinion :).

Added a guide to the op. Warranty won't be voided as long as you only update the secondary (slave) vbios. For sli cards I'd recommend only flashing one card at a time with the other card completely removed from the system.

@Sajin, I had to do full PC power down after reflash for XOC recognize the new BIOS or it was still showing older version and limiting power at 117%. Perhaps add this step to instruction.

Thanks! At least a solution that works... first I forgot to raise the voltage slider, so there was no difference. After pushing the V-Slider to 60% the result 8K: max 128 with down dips to 110... anyway 1000 times better than before... I think that's the curve we wanted to see by the day of purchase :) Even with slower Vmem and CPU settings the SP 4K/8K optimized scores are getting better than before. Very promising. I have the 3 FAN FTW3 so I ramped all chassis and videocard fans to full throttle while testing. About the Warranty Void: I've asked the EVGA support and they said that they don't know about a offical fix and that I could flash the slave BIOS without loosing my warranty. Nevertheless I made a backup. UPDATE: I found why my CPU was stuck at 3.2GHz some Windows power plan was wrong. With the Voltage Slider at 70% and an additional +35 on Vclock (my Vmem is unstable over 5940MHz) and the CPU again at 4 GHz I was able to hit 4584 Points at Superposition 8K optimized I am smiling again Eventhough I lost the silicon lottery on my gpu (it wont run over +35 on Vcore)

I got a incompatibility error. I used the right one also, what gives. Something about the firmware not being compatible with board. It is too quick to read in the cmd

I love when I haven't checked the forums in a while and when I do and something awesome and new has just started happening. I've got an Elite FTW3, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say a 6796 is the same as a 6696. Unless the colorful green shroud is coded in VBIOS.

Running superposition on the 8k preset with max voltage & your max overclock applied you should see it go above 120%.

It is, but the vbios is most likely only coded for 6696, so you won't be able to apply it to your card. The only way you could get it to apply to your card is if someone on the forum uploads the new 6696 vbios in .rom form for you to download. You'll then need to flash it to your card using nvflash using the -6 command.

Crud. Well I'll keep my eye out. I assuming this could just a a BIOS dump from another lovely 6696 owner who flashed their BIOS?

Nothing more on the OC here (FTW3). 2025Mhz, 1 more bin crashes like orginal bios. although found it held clocks consistently higher hence better benchscores. With original bios clocks dived under 4K superpostion heavy bench didn't find that with orginal bios. Did a 6195 in superposition on 1080p extreme preset which was 100pts higher than orginal bios, clocks never fell below 2000mhz. With previous bios seen clocks down as low as mid 1900's. Flashed my master with the new bios so will flick back to slave for some further comparisons and report back.

owcraftsman Doesn't work with my FTW3 11G-P4-6797-K2. When will I see a fix? Here's hoping it will magically appear too.
You'll need to do the same thing fragility_V1 needs to do, and you'll also need to overclock your memory back to 12 GHz as you'll be installing a vbios that will run the memory at 11 GHz.
