TheAverageJoe93 Let me know how well the Hybrid cooler does for your 1080 Ti overclocks. I really want to get the Hybrid to keep the computer cool and quiet.
Will do... I was a stable +160 +180 on air 100% fans the other day... I went higher on the memory and am pretty confident it will be more stable with the hybrid. It arrives tomorrow and I'm gonna get it set up and run new benchmarks this weekend. Will post back with air/hybrid comparison results.
I got mine to +170 +0 (Didn't touch MEM Clock) on stock fan curve. It was stable, and after work today I was going to tinker with it again, it got up to 75 degrees with fans at 70% speed. So I have some wiggle room.
Well I got the hybrid kit installed and CPU delid and it's been some amazing improvements. GPU peaked @ 84C @ 100% fan speed and after the hybrid install peaked @43C on a 33 min stress test. A nearly 50% decrease in temps. CPU previous highs were Prime95 blend test @ 92C... Furmark CPU burner around the same... and encoding videos at 100% load would push me into the mid 80's. After delidding Prime 95 blend test peaked @ 76C, Furmark CPU burner @ 72C... encoding videos at 100% load peaked at 68C. Basically I've seen a ballpark 16C decrease in temps from the delid. I also took the CPU from 4.8 to a stable 5 Ghz @1.392... I could probably go further but calling it good for now. Previous GPU OC was +160 +180 and I took it to +165 +225. I was crashing at +175 and going further with the memory was actually dropping my scores. 3DMark before and after: Firestrike - 22,747 -----> 23,259 http://www.3dmark.com/fs/12267370Firestrike Extreme - 13,573 -----> 13,889 http://www.3dmark.com/fs/12267454Firestrike Ultra - 7,236 -----> 7,439 http://www.3dmark.com/fs/12267548Timespy - 9,328 -----> 9,628 http://www.3dmark.com/spy/1528402 It's been a good weekend! Sweet! Let us know how that goes! I'm pumped... officially "done" (tm) adding parts to this PC and she's pretty much dialed in... let the fun begin! Sig updated with my build page and pics!

I've only pushed it to 150/400 with 65% fan it has a tiny bit more but less than 200 with stock cooling. I believe 200 made one test in four-stroke crashed on game 2.

I thought about going 6850k instead of my 6700k. But after comparing results, I figured I could use that money for a really nice monitor. My card (ti) doesn't hardly ever go over 65 degrees while gaming, but wont hold an overclock over +175 /+300. Oh well, we will see that happens whenever I get the Hybrid kit, whenever that may be. lol

I've also noticed this on my system Firestrike seems to score consistently lower with higher memory overclocks. The difference is marginal for extreme and ultra. I wonder if this translates into game performance as well.

Same here. I'm stable at +165 +225. Going much beyond that with memory clock results in lower scores. It's not all that uncommon from what I've read.

LVNeptune You should not be running your voltage +100%...There's no reason for it especially since you have such a small OC.
My +165 +225 is with the 120% voltage. Are you saying I should turn it back to 100%? The temps are solid at 40-43C under load right now. They'd drop right if I dialed back assuming it's stable? Or should I leave it at 120%?

My understanding of XOC is you are adding a % of voltage. All my benchmarks so far have been done at 0% which again I was under the impression was no additional voltage. You set it to 5% and it is +5% from whatever the base voltage is.

I'm using MSI Afterburner but it's the same thing. I may dial it back down to 100% and see what it does for stability and temps. If it drops below 43C at load I'll probably wet myself... LMAO That hybrid kit rocks.

Yeah now that you mention that I'll probably just leave it at 120%. The OC is stable at +165 + 225. Every time I've tried to go to +175 even with +0 memory I've crashed. It's stable and temps are amazing at 40-43C under load. Gonna leave it alone I think.

So I'm confused then...Is XOC adding additional voltage or no? I have mine set to 0% and have been able to get to 200/400 reliably but I plan on backing the memory down after I can actually run some reliable benchmarks with 3D Mark. Like I said it won't even run at stock clocks. Always crashes after the Time Spy "demo" either on the first or second scene.

It defaults to 100%, AFAIK that means that it will allow up to 100% of stock rated voltage. I do not think that the drivers for the GPU will allow you to do anything less than 100% (That is what the manufacturer dictated when building the card) But if you go over 100%, then it will allow that given percentage over stock to be allowed into the GPU (Voltage) So a 105% power limit (from what I have gathered) will allow +5% max voltage to the GPU (from the stock voltage). I could be completely wrong, this is just what I have gathered. lol

That's why I said that the GPU drivers will not let it use less voltage than required from manufacturer. Besides, 100% additional voltage is saying that you are DOUBLING the stock voltage, which would blow it up, literally. lol
