If you have the original box they fit perfectly in usps flat rate medium boxes.
my hybrid card box is quite tall doesn't really fit in one. Also not a fan of USPS at least around me

UPS and even Fed-Ex is the best way to ship, but UPS is Evga preferred always because they are a Lot faster than USPS. But USPS, UPS and Fed-Ex, etc, should always have a different assortment of boxes that you and anyone else will need for you Gpu shipment and enough space for insulation as well.

I've found that the standard 'Priority Mail' boxes they have at the Post Office are usually not deep enough for video cards.  The one that is deep enough, isn't long enough.  I've never bought any boxes at the UPS store, but I usually get a box at the local supermarket.  I ask if they have any boxes about the size I need, and they usually have at least one that I can use.

I'm waiting for one of my cards to be 'stepped-up' to the 1080ti, and when that comes back to me, I'll use the box that EVGA sent it in to ship my second card back to them.
ya dang hybrid cards make it even more of a pain as there box is deeper to hold the little aio

Thin layer is fine on the bottom, they don't usually care too much about the top.

Edit: I should say, they don't usually care too much about the top of the box as long as it has a good solid-top to the box heheh. :)

Yeah there was no issues with shipping mine.  I got a box from work that had a few inches all around and used some sturdy but flexible foam and packed it all around the box on all sides... basically locking the box into place inside the bigger box.  No way it moves.

UPS guy asked me if the box was empty when I shipped...

Now the $250,000 question is... will my Ti ship today?

for ups? As they didn't require mine with 500$ insurance. I ended up just adding it as 5$ isn't worth the Hassel of wondering who got it

I added $700 insurance to mine... didn't request a signature, but saw it was signed for by CASTILLO.

Just realized I sent my 1080 FTW Hybrid card in without the default EVGA radiator fan, lol. Hm, hopefully I can just pay it out instead of it being automatically rejected and starting all over again. I had it replaced with a Noctua fan.

you should get a notification from UPS if you are signed up for UPS MY CHOICE before EVGA sends out an email letting you know that they shipped it

Fe cards are not really that bad.they do run hot at stock fan speed. You can set a custom fan curve threw afterburner or precision and overclock them and you will get with in a few % of the icx cards. If you want quite buy the water aio block when it comes out. even if we get an icx card it will only be the one with the icx cooler not the one with all the fancy sensors and fans. but the fact step ups are going as fast as they are for the usa is quite amazing. If you really hate your card sell it on criags list or ebay whille they are still going high enough to break even after fees. then buy the ftw 3 or sc2 when they show up if you must have icx

Yeah I'm signed up for it... nothing yet.  Had a guy here last week though say he got his EVGA email without getting any notice from UPS despite being signed up so who knows...

Meh, put in a little extra work and money and install a hybrid kit and you'll have something even superior. People are getting really good results using just hybrid "mods" and it's silent. AIOs have really changed things, you can have the benefits of water cooling without as much stress. Not quite as flexibly powerful as a custom loop, but a good deal better than stock cooling (which I hear is terrible).

The ICX cards have bells and whistles, sure, but for the average joe it's not all that important.

Yeah I guess nobody here on the forums had their card shipped today.  Mine still shows pending.

Not gonna lie... after reading 48 times last week "everyone here who has had their card received by EVGA had their step up shipped the next business day" and getting all excited it's now heading into Tuesday and my card has been at EVGA since 11am last Thursday... well... now the aggravation has started to set in.

I'm not even thinking happy thoughts anymore and thinking about the many people in this thread who have their card and how awesome it must be... I'm thinking about the EVGA guy who is gonna let my card sit another 48 hours and then ship it just so my 3 day ground shipping will carry over through the weekend and I won't get it until next Monday...

... bringing the entire ship to receive step up time at 14 days while living 2 states away.

I could have taken a bus down I-5 and waited on the other side of EVGA's fence and probably gotten my card sooner.

Don't think they'd like that.  My card was received 3/24.  Was expecting it to go out today but nothing.  Oh well.

No point.  It was received on Thursday morning 3/23 according to UPS tracking but didn't update to received in the system (and my RMA page) until 3/24... (and shows 3/24 as received)

So TECHNICALLY today is only the first business day after they received my card on Friday.  I still  have 2 more business days to wait before I can call them without worry of having to hear "but sir, we ship within 1-3 business days as stated in the EVGA Step Up FAQ."

I'm just venting a bit... frustration like this is why I quit shopping at Walmart 6 years ago.  Got tired of going in there and standing in line for 30 minutes to check out.

Here in about 20 minutes we'll probably get a post "Hey guys I shipped my card to EVGA on Thursday, they got it Friday and I just got my card from UPS! Thanks EVGA ZOMG you're the best ever!"

Sent my card to RMA. Paid for fastest shipping + step up, so paid $40 in full for the entire thing.

Hopefully I'll have the 1080 ti by Friday

For shipping, I used the same box they sent me the ICX in with the same bit of sealed air. It doesn't have an inch of padding on all sides, but if it's good enough for them then it's good enough for me. I don't think there'll be any issues with it.

Same as many others.  Delivered on the morning of 3/23, according to UPS.  Didn't show as received until 3/24.  Now late on 3/27, shipping stills shows as 'pending'.

A bit disappointed.  At this rate, I doubt I'll get the new card back this week.

Then I have to go through it all again with my second 1080 Classified.

I uninstalled my 1080 FTW yesterday to send in for the upgrade, but after trying to turn on my PC again, everything worked, except that my monitor wouldn't display anything. I could still open apps cause I knew where they were but the monitor no longer shows anything. Any suggestions? I already cleared my cmos by pressing the "clr cmos" button for 10 seconds on my Asus motherboard.

Is EVGA RMA Department supposed to sign the package that I send to them for the "step up" aka upgrade to iCX? Cause it's over 300$ so FedEx said they must sign for the package.
