What is really bad is that they had a little stock of SC and they sold instead of giving to whom preordered the card.
That's a thing that maked me really angry

Minimum of a million people ordering this card. Does anybody actually think that any plant could out produce the quantity demanded? No. It's impossible.

They have known this day was coming for years. You're trying to tell me not a single person at EVGA thought to plan ahead? That's why there is frustration, this situation is totally avoidable, but they do it on purpose because its good marketing. They literally choose to make extra money instead of making sure their customers are happy. That's a problem when any business starts to think that way. And if AMD would ever step up to the plate and actually produce a good card with stable drivers Nvidia and EVGA could have some serious problems. But as it stands Nvidia literally has no real competition so there's no where else for people to turn.

Most people I talk to who are strictly NVIDIA users are that way because of the horrible drivers that are consistently produced by the AMD camp. Whoever actually steps up and takes care of the customers is who will get most of the business, and that's one of the reasons EVGA is so popular is because of their early policies towards customers (though these have since become much less friendly, their early policies still carry a lot of influence on buyers). If AMD would ever actually focus on the consumer experience they could carry a lot more weight, but until then there's only Nvidia which is slowly going downhill without any competition.

it's not a simple pre-order, I have already paid, 1 month ago, and I got nothing neither a simple mail only a state "OPEN".

Can I be disappointed? or I must happy to have nothing?

A serious company must advice about the queue and let the user decide what to do, w8ing or move on, or give back the money if cannot afford the demand

There... MSI 1080 Gaming X showed up at a distri here, and yes I can order at a distri. 2x FTW cancelled. I've managed to live without EVGA so far, I guess I'll continue to do so.

Good move, what counts is the quality of the chip : This time I got lucky  buying a Gigabyte G1 card. The chip is  really  OK, the card  runs 2088 on air 24/7.  And the G1 has got only one 8pin connector  and  a slightly  beefed up PWM . 1080s  run  almost at the limit, all of them, so why to wait on never never basis. It was the same  with 980 and 980TI with EVGA. They do not have  the means of production to satisfy all their  preorders. And never have had.

I wouldnt waste your time replying to this clown. He stands up for EVGa through thick and thin, doesn't really have maturity in his arguments.

There has to be a point where you remove NVIDIA from the "blame" equation and accept that EVGA are starting to drag their heels. Competitors experience the same supply issue but have shipped their AIB's incredibly well and are fullfilling preorders greatly, at least here in the UK now. Fanboys can keep defending EVGA but at nearly 5 weeks since launch and still flakey updates (Yes, EVGA update us on twitter and forums etc, but in all honesty, they HAVE to as the demand and unrest is increasing by the day. We paid our money, don't assume updates on a product that they still cannot deliver is a blessing, its a Customer Service you are PAYING for).

We have seen Jacob say "End June" "Early July", "End June/Early July" and now we hear "not 100% sure" on the hybrid, it's crazy. Be honest and give a worst case scenario, accept the loss in people cancelling preorders after having faith in the unconvincing updates. This whole prediacament isnt doing EVGA any good. People have switched cards in droves in the UK due to EVGA lagging behind.

Just i personally think they have bitten off more than they can chew. If you havnt paid for your preorder, well done you, but thousands and thousands in the UK PAID for their preorder on 27th May in FULL and still have nothing to show for at least a few more weeks. Yes, paying is a gamble they took, but EVGA constantly throwing bait with ETA's combined with the "etailers" are leaving a VERY sour taste in their mouth. If i was MSI, ASUS or Gigabyte, i would be jumping at this oppertunity to improve CS and warranties and keep this new found flock of customers they are getting from switching and keep them with them.

Those that pre-ordered and already paid in the UK, may actually do well on the exchange rate, as the pound's value is taking a hit right now.

Materiel.net (FR) told me week 27 for first batch of FTW to be shipped to preorders.
They warned me that the batch could be as little as 5 to 10 units only.
When asking what was my queue pos I was told..... 11th (I preordered on May 27th in the afternoon).

I have an opportunity to order Gainward 1080 GTX Golden Sample right now, is it a good choice ? Anyone knows if these are binned ?

Caseking claimed they have yet to receive a single SC or FTW unit, plus they just pushed back once more the possible stock date to 29.06, so no good news...

Don't suppose anyone in the UK has received a FTW yet?. I pre-ordered from Ebuyer 3 days after announcement. It stated 30th June and now its 22nd July. I sold my watercooled HD 7990 x2 hoping my card wouldn't take this long :'(

I asked that to Gainward support, they answer this:

"Gainward GTX 1080 Phoenix GLH version models are one of the Pre selected (binned)GPU’s with Factory over clocked BIOS.

Only GS and GLH version graphics cards have over clocked BIOS due the factory pre selected (binned) GPU’s."

Hello peeps, first post here, first nvidia card since Geforce 7950, cant wait for my 1080 FTW

but little surprised, if evga is such an exclusive nvidia aib partner, how come there are msi asus and gigabyte cards showing up left and right and not a single evga FTW? I mean is the demand for evga that much higher than other brands? i'm going for a month long vacation in the middle of july so can't say I care much if I get the card fast but I am a little surprised as to why is there such delay.

Jacob posted yesterday that shipments to their EU warehouse (which is in NL, i think?) were on the way and would start shipping next thursday at the latest for EU evga.com preorders, and that stock would arrive at RE/ETAIL around the same time.
I just hope i get mine before the 20th or i'm going to be severely dissapointed :( (holidays booked!)

I ordered mine on the 5/29 more than a month ago still nothing.
I also send 5 emails to 4 different mail adresses with no response from any of them highly disappointed with evga at the moment.
Great cards but there customer support is terrible at the moment.
If I finally get my 1080 ftw I hope I does not break down because if you have to contact them it's gonna be a nightmare.
If they would just keep the people who placed a preorder/order updated with status updates it would be fine but to completely not respond to emails is ridiculous.

In the re-seller I preordered mine, the estimated shipping dates for the FTW and SC are 16/23 September, which seems a bit too late, but I don't know if those are actually accurate or just estimations made by the store itself.
The store is in Italy.

I would cancel my order from amazon for the FTW but the problem i have i is... I preordered when it was £589 plus i also had a £100 gift card, Making £489

If i ordered another Manufacture i would end up paying more as they have shot up in price around £650+

So ive just gotta wait it out :(

Disappointed to go on holiday?
I so hope my pre-order from the 28th of May will be filled from the first shipment... I live in the Netherlands so maybe I should just go by their storage facility and make sure it is...? :D

If you ordered the 28th and still don't have it then I'm screwed.
This is gonna take forever.
I hope they are gonna compensate all who preorderd with a game like doom so we can test these suckers out when we finally get them.

Keep seeing updates on us stock but nothing for eu no love for the european customers is seems.
What also keeps bugging me is that they are sending stock to retailers but still have to forfill the preorders people have made through evga itself.
Also i still have no reply on any of the emails i send to evga regarding an update status on my preorder i am not asking for a stock update just an indication on a possible deliver date.
At this point i am forced to wait because if i cancel my order and place it with another manufacturer i am at the back of the line and have to wait even longer.
Next i am buying another graphics card i am seriously going to think twice before ordering from evga again not because of the quality but because of the customer service.
