I spoke to Nate, he is still excited about making this and is just waiting on a part to get his machine going to get these blocks made, i am back on board as iv decided to keep my sabertooth for a 2nd rig :). Hope we still have some interest.

its still on the To-do list, just trying to finish lots of other projects.

yea, this thread is old as earth.  I didn't even notice the replies.  The project lost support.  I mean the owner of the motherboard needed the board back, so I couldn't continue the project.  Not saying I couldn't pick it back up with enough interest, and another donor motherboard. 

Probably because it was easier for them to make into 2 separate blocks.  Certainly less resources then a solid block that i designed.  As far as any status of this project, it is permanently on hold, until someone can donate their board to test the prototype.  As the months go by the board slips into obsolescence, the likelihood of that happens decreases.  So, sad to say I doubt this will ever get finished.  But it was an interesting project, and I have the prototype sitting here as a memory.
