hallowen At Last!, a New Driver for the Nvidia Titan X Pascal.
There was this: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/geforce-369-05-whql-driver-download.htmlI think it was the initial release for the Pascal Titan. No good? I can only dream of owning a Pascal Titan but I really see no need for me to own one to be honest with you. Does this new driver help any with performance? Someone at Guru3D bragged a 300 point increase in Time Spy while another wailed about losing 500 points in Firestrike. I stopped with even bothering to run any benchmarks these days but I did find that one usually increased and the other decreased the score. I am referring to 3DMark11 and Firestrike.

bobmitch Good drivers...Thanks!
Are they really good? No problems with any games like lag or stuttering? I focus on BF3 and BF4, Fallout 4 and DOOM. Did you get new Vulkan drivers or the same old ones? I know some people were getting newer Vulkan drivers for DOOM and others were not. I guess it's going to be a crap shoot. Maybe you have to totally remove the old Vulkan Runtime Library before installing the new drivers from nVidia. If anyone has any input on this Vulkan issue I would like to know what to expect before I take the plunge. There's nothing wrong with these 368.81 WHQL for me now.

It's really sad to see nVidia denying us the ability to game with a real multi-GPU power house PC anymore. Maybe Micro$oft is paying them to put and end to PC gaming or at least drive a few nails into the coffin so that everyone will need an XBox to play a decent game in the future. Too bad the graphics will be lousy but I suppose we are being forced down that road. No more 3-way or 4-way SLI. No DX12 unless you shoot yourself in the foot with Windows 10. This video board / OS game is getting too linear with too many choke points for my liking. Soon we will be left with no other option except for LINUX which is already getting more and more of my interest now. Since LINUX is open source and can have its code rewritten without any penalty, someone might be able to get 3-way and 4-way SLI back for us.

It certainly is getting to be a Sad State of Affairs when you are promised by a Major Manufacturer that they will provide you with Driver Updates that will enable multiple SLI for "certain" applications and then turn around and do nothing instead. I'm just Glad I Only bought Two Nvidia Titan XP's instead of believing that Four would "eventually" be enabled. It Seems You Can't Trust the Word of hardly Anyone Anymore....

Here is a Quote from NVIDIA to pcperspective on 06/08/16 concerning the use of more than 2-way SLI on Pascal series Graphics Cards: "With the GeForce 10-series we’re investing heavily in 2-way SLI with our new High Bandwidth bridge (which doubles the SLI bandwidth for faster, smoother gaming at ultra-high resolutions and refresh rates) and NVIDIA Game Ready Driver SLI profiles. To ensure the best possible gaming experience on our GeForce 10-series GPUs, we’re focusing our efforts on 2-way SLI only and will continue to include 2-way SLI profiles in our Game Ready Drivers. DX12 and NVIDIA VR Works SLI technology also allows developers to directly implement and control multi-GPU support within their games. If a developer chooses to use these technologies then their game will not need SLI profiles. Some developers may also decide to support more than 2 GPUs in their games. We continue to work with all developers creating games and VR applications that take advantage of 2 or more GPUs to make sure they’ll work great on GeForce 10-series GPUs. For our overclocking community, our Game Ready Drivers will also include SLI profiles for 3- and 4-way configurations for specific OC applications only, including Fire Strike, Unigine and Catzilla." https://www.pcper.com/category/tags/4-way-sli

Zuhl3156 I can't get them to install. I downloaded from nVidia again without success and once from Guru3D with the same results. One time the error said some DX12 file was missing? I don't have Windows 10 so how can this be? Now I just get some generic error banner before it even finishes extracting to the NVIDIA folder.
Just asking, But did you download the Drivers for Windows 10 by mistake?

Nope, not unless the link is messed up. I downloaded for Windows 7 64-bit from nVidia and Guru3D. Maybe there is something wrong with the link?

I can't get any nVidia drivers to install now without getting that error message. I had to use my Device Manager to install these. IDK what I'll do later when I need newer drivers. Everything checks out fine but the nVidia installer refuses to run. EDIT: Not the first time for this so I am not messing with Windows yet. No answer to this thread here, it just died out: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/768918/unknown-error-has-occurred-/

I'd be careful in updating drivers outside of the standard process using the NVIDIA package tool. It's even possible to install pascal drivers on maxwell by extracting the installers (edit: Obviously don't do that) usually just updating the .inf file in device manager wouldn't be recommended because I'd assume there's alot more in play with the installer. With regard to any change in terms of driver uninstallation well, using the latest Wagnar Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) helps on his process. On a standard default one, you can always remove all drivers from Windows Control Panel, programs and features, then selective boot with start up apps unchecked to make sure nothing interferes (run msconfig, selective boot uncheck start up apps) There was a major issue in latency on pascal alot attributed I'd assume to some audio drivers bundled and windows 10 also having their default audio drivers. The rabbit hole goes deeper and it's not such a simple root cause but it factors in. Windows Management Insutrmentation plays in, it shows on the latest notes of the release because the Windows framework interplays with the driver installation. uninstall, reboot, Graphics, Physx, clean install... The reason there's a reboot is probably because there's an adapter for high refresh rate monitors which is installed and/or some backend driver cleaning before installing, wild guess. Anyway, yeah Zuhl knowing you don't like to use DDU, I'd really recommend you uninstall and then reinstall using the package and if it doesnt push through it's probably your security settings, firewalls and such since these drivers modify host files, otherwise it's some Windows Service that needs to be enabled. In other words only the installation through the official installer process is the best way otherwise you're getting into some custom mod of official files and it's freestyle for better or worse. I had that same issue on 368.81 and it turns it out it was my firewall (locked host file, which is security to prevent config modifications). Could be WMI. No worries though, I wouldn't say there's anything to be "afraid" of in messing with card because if you really want a clean install Then you'd have to reinstall completely your system from UEFI, drivers on the preboot MBR level on OS installation, fresh OS install, because porting driver versions is variable on the OS, the card in itself I'd say has low risk in being damaged or altered due to driver installations even in worst case scenarios because these are solid pieces of hardware that can stand emergency temps higher than motherboards and processors. Reinstalling my OS made a difference, and modifying too much ctrl panel settings might affect the display even if it's imperceptible. Same for game settings on some, changing them too much, including resolution leads to better perf on a complete reinstall in some cases. glgl

Played gta 5 for a while to test out and noticed that both cards are boosting and downclocking the same now. Before my top card always boosted a little higher and temps were a little higher than bottom card. FPS in game are the same as I am playing with vsync on but temps are a little lower.

You'll most likely need to do THIS to get to the bottom of the issue.

Should I do that now or wait until I need to update? Restoring my System Image fixed it at first. The installer does not even run. It extracts the files to the nVidia folder and them I get that error before anything even happens. Those Windows Updates weren't even in my PC when it gave me that error the first time so removing them may or may not fix it again. I know that this morning's System Image is a good working Image and I can go back and restore that if need be.
