Anyone going to or has pre-ordered this game? I skipped FC3, but I think FC4 will be pretty good. I'm thinking of pre-ordering it tomorrow. Do you guys think it will be a fun game? Will the graphics be better than the previous one? It should benefit from a GTX 980 when I get one later on.

    Pre-order it ?  IMHO = NO

Wait 2 weeks and price will drop- wait 2 months and price will really drop , like almost all of UBI games do.

I've bought all the Far Cry games but I pretty much always wait for a short bit to get them on discounted pricing.

I don't care if Halflife 3 came out bundled with Fallout 4 and 5; I still wouldn't pre-order. Farcry 1 was good, 2 sucked and 3 was a mixed bag but fun. I't so hard to say because none of them really had much to do with each other.

I am done with Ubisoft and their games. I hate Uplay and they are the worst company when it comes to false advertisement. Far Cry 3, Assassin's Creed series and Watch Dogs all had great looking E3 demos and all of those games had crippled graphics compared to the demo, gameplay elements that were never included and far less richer worlds.
To me, Ubisoft is worse than EA.

FarCry 4 appears to be adding lots of new things.  I hope it doesn't pull a Far Cry 2 and make things less fun. I will probably pre-order it because I am a Sheep to the Far Cry games.  The first one was the best game I ever played.

I LOVE all of the games in the Far Cry series. I'm thinking about pre-ordering, including the season pass. The only issue I have is that I have SO MANY games to play, I've still not finished Far Cry 3. I'm thinking that perhaps by the time I'm ready to play FC4 it may be on discount...just not sure... :p

Yes I plan to get it eventually

    Far Cry 1 I loved

    Far Cry 2 was horrible

    Far Cry 3 I loved

Far Cry 4...... remains to be seen, will see how the reviews turn out on metacritic from both gamers and official reviewers.

also I agree with steve above, don't ever pay full price for games, about 2 or 3 months after release it will be 50% off.

Since developers seem to think they can money grab us with DLC now days, they will get less and less from me for the base game purchase and it will still work out for $60 for a complete game (Base Game + DLC included)

Yeah, not sure what happened. I submitted the post and I started getting forum errors. Then the forum would only return a maintenance page for a few minutes. When it was working again, BAM!

Myself, along with many others will wait for the price of FC4 to come down.

FC1 was one of my most favorite games.

I rather enjoyed FC2 because it was simple, and I got to do a lot of swimming to avoid those annoying road blocks. I love Africa and its wild landscape, so it was a fun game for me to play.

FC3 is a different animal. I love the tropical landscape and the game does do a decent job of creating that landscape, it does seem somewhat like FC1, but it was very different. The biggest problem I have with FC3 is that it is so repetitive, with to many missions that add nothing to the game.

My biggest frustration with FC3 is those stupid knife fights at critical parts of the story where you have to use a series of different key functions to get the job done! I'm playing a PC version of the game and when your only told to press the space bar and you keep getting stabbed in the chest and die...well that sucks.

I sure hope FC4 is different.

The only reason I called FC2 horrible is cause of the malaria virus, that broke the free roam immersion in my opinion cause you had to repeatedly go to a shack to get a refill on pills or ya die.

Yeah, that malaria thing added nothing and also which side to side with was rather strange. I like the way FC3 added animals into the mix and I think FC2 could have benefited from dangerous lions, elephants, water buffaloes, and crocodiles.

I'm finally finishing FC3 and I finally got thru the final knife fight with Hoyt. I paid $10 for FC3 and waited to play it. The game was not designed for the PC so I had to reset my controls to default in order for the onscreen instructions to work. I always change my controls to work with my Corsair M95 gaming mouse. After that it was kind of fun, but you have to be fast...space-left mouse-right mouse...etc..

I guess having to use multiple controls to do some tasks is old school, but I'm not experienced in old school, so I'm not sure I like it. I'm hoping FC4 is a little more straight forward.

Yeah, that Malaria thing ruined it for me ever wanting to play through the game again.  Even the 1st time through it was a pain to deal with.

That's the only thing I really remember from FC2 was throwing up and guns breaking. Constantly. Oh and a really crappy ending.

If the PC version looks at least as good as the trailer after release, I'm all in! Otherwise, I'll wait for someone to find the hidden files ha, ha.

Thats a good point, I remember how mad everyone was when they found out the actual Far Cry 3 game didn't look as good as the trailer did

hopefully that doesn't happen with Far Cry 4

Farcry 3 looked the same as the trailers even  better.  the only reason ya think it looked better is because they used different camera angles and such    to give it a more cinematic feel.

and what we saw  @  E3 is what we will get for finale quality graphics if not better  as the versions we seen are the PS4 version  i think
