Welcome to the new forums.

Please post any bugs/suggestions/questions you have about the boards here.  Please keep the discussion on topic and try to refrain from posting the forums are great or what have you.

Note: If you have found a bug, please include the browser(s) and version number(s) you have found the issue in so I can recreate it.

Id like to see the ability to upload images instead of having to link to them from outside of the forums. Id also like to have the ability to embed videos from YouTube or the like, this is especially relevant to the gaming forums where we would want to post demos and such directly into the post instead of having to link to them. I can see it being used in some of the other forums as well.

Also, I just noticed this but the "PGDCode" button in the post box doesn't show anything.

The image upload issue is a settings problem, I will get that fixed.  I will also look into embedding videos, but I don't know if I can get that installed anytime soon.

The PGDCode button is for custom tags we have put in, so far I haven't found a need for it.

It seems that under miscellaneous information where I enter my Home Page it doesn't save. It says Saved Successfully and I go to view my public profile and its blank where it should be at. Then I go back to miscellaneous options and its blank in the Home Page line.

Can you increase the "Last Post" column width?  For example, this looks sloppy:

Also, is there an option for widescreen monitors?

We won't be modifying the layout for the skin, but we will generate a few more in the future to choose from.

    Fantastic.

On a side note, would it be possible to get another "Message Options" option to "Delete Message" along with "Edit Message"?

Just to be clear, I was talking about deleting your own post/replies, just in case you post in the wrong board or something it would be nice to fix your mistake instead of having to just leave it there for someone else to clean up. I could have used this the other day when I mistakenly posted in the gaming discussion board a "Post Your Desktop" topic that i wanted to put in the General Discussion board, it would have been nice to be able to delete that post right after, or even have the option to move your own post to a different board for that matter, or delete my reply explaining how i mistakenly posted it in the wrong board after it was moved by Balla.

I guess I just think you should have complete control over your own topics/replies.

Also I noticed a few things when I was looking at my profile page:

    A) Why are there 2 avatars right next to each other?
    B) It removes formatting from comments and lumps all the text together. it would also be nice if you could create links, bold, italic and other formatting as well inside the comments.
    C) The CSS for these 2 elements do not match anything else ont he forums, i dunno if this is deliberate or just an oversight, but it seems a bit out of place.
    D) It would be nice to hide any items that have nothing to display in them, or to be able to choose to hide elements of the profile. It is also kind of hard to read some of the text.

All good points, but I will leave that alone for the time being.  We are taking a stance of changing as little as possible of the backbone of this forum so we won't have to start them over again like we have done the last two times.

The save button may not work properly if the signature is above 750 from the import.  Where were you trying to save?

Would it be possible to keep the signature character limit 1000 as it was on the old forum? There were a number of people requesting the limit be raised on the old forum so it seems strange that it has actually been reduced here on the new forum. I, personally think 1000 was fine, though that's probably because my signature on the old boards came in just under 1000, lol.

Most of the stickies have been consolidated in a sticky index and will reference the old forums.  New stickies can be made here when the mods deem that they are necessary.  Let us know the ones you have seen that are very helpful, copy them over, and we will resticky them.  We don't want the sticky area congested, so we may work with using the sticky indexes linked to the posts.

Yup that ended up being the problem. ^_^

Also my suggestion is under the root forum list make it display # of topics rather than # of post(Or make it display both like the old forums). #of topics seems like a much more relevant piece of information that # of post.

I was just replying in the welcome fellow enthusiast thread . I started out in the quick reply , then clicked on open full version . I don't recall if it was before or after I clicked on smilies but the header and three buttons below (quote, ect.) were flashing crazy. IE8  ver. 8.0.6001.18828  Vista 64 Sp2. hope that helps.  EDIT: it does it from the get go , but as I am in the edit window all is calm ...LOL.ty

P1G, should take a look to the Welcome note at the main menu:

Re: signature - yes, it's only 750 characters and will remain that way.  Please adjust your signatures accordingly (even I had to lower mine down slightly).
