Well, at the risk of posting a problem that may well have been dealt with in the preceeding 6 pages, I'm leaving a copy of a problem I just had.   (Sorry but I've got to leave & just read the other posts here):

I just finished posting my 1st thread on the new forums.  If I previewed it, then X'd out the preview box, I got only white space where the "Post New Thread" page should have been.  Refreshing or back arrow didn't help & of course my message was zapped away to neverland. 
 
What dumb mistake am I making?
 
...Hmm, well it worked fine that time.  Wonder if it's cause this is a short message.  I was working on the other one maybe 10 or 15 minutes.  Anyone know?

EVGA really needs to go back to the motherboard sub-sub menus.  In the last couple of hours, I have attempted to help several folks, and you have to open the entire thread just to see what board they are using.  That bit of information might not be mentioned until the middle or toward the end of the post.  You really can't blame the poster, they are just attempting to explain their problem.  Unless all posters mention what version board they are using in the title of the post, you have no way of knowing unless you open the thread.  EVGA took something that was simplistic and user friendly (sub-sub menus) and added unnecessary steps to offer assistance.

@vistahead  Do you mean the 7 series of mobo's?  Pretty soon you'll end up in the 4,5 and 6 series so I'd say enjoy your independence while it lasts. 

Yes, you are probably right.  But if you look at the other boards sub-menus, they are all that way....none have sub-sub menus for each board.

750 characters in the signature is simply not enough. Will this be upgraded to more characters, like there were in the old forums, anytime soon?

not sure if this has been posted yet but..

there is an odd bug that when copy/pasting txt over and you click from one line to the next for formatting reasons the system changes the txt to blue and underlines it..  the underline cannot be removed and the txt color canot be changed untill you go to edit the thread. it will allow you to change the color but the underline option is stuck on and shows up blue.

the forum thinks thats an email address of somesort..  when you hover over them it shows a mailto link.  click it and it gives you 404 error.

You should be able to break the link by selecting the text and clicking remove link (or ctrl+shift+k).  The word processor does some weird things like that... it's like my phone.  I type in Ja... and it completes Jaguar.  ??

Alright, I have something else that I noticed that hopefully can be modified. I would like to suggest that when clicking on the Mods list, that it would show on that list if that Mod is currently online or offline. This is easier than looking for them in the threads, and looking that way. What do you think? Is this do-able?

When/ if, the member home button at the top of the page, be linked to the new forums?  I use that as my start page and all of the recent posts still reflect the last days of the old forums.

Forum is viewable but not usable in Opera.

I can't login using the login button.  The page never loads.  I can login by going to a restricted area that requires login because the username and password area is on that page.  IE 8.0.71

Again, probably another caching issue.

You need to control font based on the forum PGD code.

What is the font size code again? The food I ate for lunch is not helping my brain power at the moment hehe

I feel the color scheme is washed out as well at least in the old forums you could tell what was new or not by the green tabs the showed recent activity. Also I can't load the page with firefox 3.5 it gives this error. And the save button under profile changes is not working.

It seems that under miscellaneous information where I enter my Home Page it doesn't save. It says Saved Successfully and I go to view my public profile and its blank where it should be at. Then I go back to miscellaneous options and its blank in the Home Page line. 

I was just wondering what the status of the above mentioned problems as I am still experiencing the problems .. Thank you ... dpb1951

Shane how long will the forum archive be live?

I ask because my Tutorial and Guides thread and the 'other' version, recently copied and posted, all link to the forum archive.  If this will be removed at any stage, it would be nice to get these helpful posts transferred across. 


One other suggestion for the new forum, would it be possible to have a "submit" or "post message" button on the preview box?
