If you're going to be overclocking at all, 1600W will be the most efficient. If you're running at all stock, 1200-1300W should be fine.

1200 will be just fine. 1600w will be overkill even when overclocking. Unless you have the extra $200 to drop on a psu the gains in jumping from 1200->1600 will not be noticed for the price.

If you're running an average PC with no benchmarking and exotic cooling for sky high clocks, a 750w (Platinum or Titanium) is fine which is the minimum requirements for this GPU.
If you're looking to run the PSU efficiently say around 50% load, I'd say a 1000w or 1200w should suffice.
