Awhile back EVGA said they would be handing them out more.

No sir.  Those were his words to me a few days ago when I requested a BR for another member.

It is good to know that those were just fakes.

Guys,  don't abuse the BR system by displaying false ribbons... Geesh...you know who you are!

SBB You have been here 560 days, and are averaging 14.1232 posts per day, or 420 a month, you average a BR every 329.5416 posts, or about 1 every 3 weeks. Thats actualy better than most. keep up the good work and keep posting, I only get 27.3 more posts per month than you do, bigest diferance is I've been here 656 days, ( about 100 days longer ) ; and post more in the X58 section, trying to help, but I still only manage a BR every 222.431 posts or about 1 every 15 days. again, we do better than most. don't even think of going anywhere, the withdrawl, would be tough, you might even need wellbutrine, or other chemical assistance. the addiction is strong, I know, I know, you need your BR fix. Trust me breaks are tougher than you think they are. Just be thinkfull for what they do, they don't have to.

What I've noticed, and has been communicated to me by management, is that BRs are handed out both subjectively and based on technical merit.
They may be given out for posts in which you say to yourself, "I had a much better one and didn't get rewarded." But what you've gotta do is just let it flow.
Keep the perspective in mind that the forums such as this one are here for the benefit of spreading knowledge with one another.
It can be a temptation to believe someone is smarter or more respected because of the amount of BRs they have accumulated.
However, keeping focused on the correct forum perspective is the key to not letting those bad thoughts fester and burn you up.

I have been here for almost 2 years now visiting the forums everyday and post only when in a good mood to post. Nothing against you SBB i think you are a credit to the community but Expecting BR's and spamming posts all day long has get to get old at some time or another. People that come to these forums expecting something for nothing should take a big step back and look around at all the other people here that just want to help others with there tech issues and expect nothing in return.

Posting on the EVGA Forums is a privilege, not a right.
